In reply to: Very slow loading websiteHi
This was their response!!
We have checked the website using the online speed test tool and the website performance is not as expected due to which the website loads slow. To make the website loads faster and to have a better performance the website needs to be well optimized. The images on the website need to be optimized and also the plugins, themes and the CMS need to be optimized. As you are using WordPress you can use the many plugins for the optimization.
There are WordPress plugins like “wp-optimize” that can run a repair and optimize your WordPress database on a schedule automatically, as well as clean up unused, orphaned and duplicated data that slows down your site. As for plugins to optimize speed, I generally recommend WP Super-Cache. If your site has a lot of .css/.js, you can also use something like this to minify/combine files: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/bwp-minify/ – that, combined with our CDN, will perform a good part of what PageSpeed does. As with PageSpeed, however, the minify/combine action may break .css/.js on your site, so you’ll have to decide if it is worth the trouble.
There is no issue from server-side. The server load and disk space is fine. However, on checking, I was able to see some PHP warnings. Hence, I have tweaked php parameters to improve performance. Now the website loads littile more faster. You can clear the browser cahe and check the site. Also, you would need to check with website template, the erro log also triggers some error with theme you are using.

In reply to: Database connection issueHi
We already have the website and database running on separate servers, so their must be another solution to this intermittent connection error. Any ideas?
Thanks

In reply to: Database connection issueI agree
I have been pushing the client to move from a shared server to a dedicated one. I think that may solve this and some other performance issues!!
