    Hello everyone.. Try this method.. hope it helps..

    for safe update/upgrade..

    backup your database first..
    then backup wp-content folder, wp-config.php and .htacces file..

    now you can copy all content of the new/updated/fresh wordpress files&folder..
    and replace all the content of your old wordpress files..

    so for example:

    if your current wordpress files are inside “mysite” folder
    ..root/public_html/mysite/(copy in here)

    next copy : wp-content folder, wp-config.php and .htaccess that you just backedup

    and paste it inside …root/public_html/mysite/(copy in here)..
    and it should replaced the files..

    open you site in web browser and you should see (update button)

    lastly click on update/upgrade button..

    and it should work..
