In reply to: Edit Post – Maintain Hierachy (Hierarchy) of Categories?I’m so completely sick of this problem. It’s been out there for more than a YEAR and all I can find is dozens closed forum topics with no resolution. In all the years I’ve been using WordPress, nothing has been as collectively frustrating for me and all my users as this issue, and there’s only been silence.
If topics are going to be closed to further comments, WordPress admins, at least post a link to the Trac entry or the correct forum post! This is bull****.

In reply to: 2.5 No longer sending comment email notificationAs I said in my message above, I’ve tried all the suggestions I’ve found and I’m still having this problem. I’m running my WordPress install on Ubuntu Server on a VPS. I haven’t done anything to the mail part of the server other than install sendmail. I handle my actual domain email through Google Apps.
Does anyone have any other ideas? The plugin isn’t usable for me because it sends me spam, and having [email protected] doesn’t do anything either. Does anyone run this on their own Linux installation and have mail working? Where the heck are the WordPress devs on this?? I see so many people reporting this problem, and they don’t seem to care!

In reply to: 2.5 No longer sending comment email notificationI’m on the latest 2.6.2 and I do not get comment notifications.
I have read every single post in this thread.
I have read every other thread I can find.
Emails from my WordPress contact form AND every email from all the other apps I have on this server work fine. Just not WordPress comment notification.
I have tried every fix I’ve found:
– I created a valid wordpress@ email on my domain — nothing changed
– I have tried the no_sender plugin that was posted — does nothing
– The Comments Notifier plugin did send me emails, but I had to abandon it because it also sent me spam comments caught by Akismet, which means I would be getting 400+ emails a day, which is worse than no notifications at all.
– The WP Mail SMTP plugin does not work for me because it doesn’t offer an SSL option.
– I found another SMTP plugin that DOES offer SSL (Swift SMTP), and it successfully sent me a test email from the admin, but completely broke the site whenever anyone submitted a comment.I’m so frustrated by this I could scream. Why the hell can’t the WordPress devs put it back the way it was before 2.3 or whenever it was this started? People shouldn’t have to be server admins or sendmail wizards in order to get this to work.
Does anyone have *any* other suggestions?

In reply to: Problem with links formatting… Link Manager 2.0Yeah I’m having the same problem. There’s nothing rendered in between the links and their descriptions. Very annoying. It looks like this was a problem back in 1.5 also (on some builds). Can’t believe it hasn’t been fixed yet.
