Firstly, ur website https://www.freshnewsarea.com shows data base error “Error establishing a database connection”. So, most probably WP is not installed correctly.
Secondly, After installation u must copy ur old images from wp-content/uploads to new uploads folder in wp-content.

if u knw WP then you can do it for free (pay only for hosting and domain name).

I think better way to start will be describing wat CMS is, and how it differs from RAW html/php coding. You can then name few CMS’s and describe how WP differ from rest in terms of use, admin panel, etc. Instead of starting with WP history (which will be of lesser importance to them). Hope this helps.

According to me, its always better to finish ur website first on localhost and then buy a hosting space. It will hardly take 15 mins buy d hosting space. So, better get ur website ready, test it on localhost ,and then go online.

If u cant login from back end, try to login into phpMyadmin. Access ur database and change ur password. for more info read:

I think ur server is using 5.1.6 version of php. WP 3.3.1 requires php 5.2.4

Installing WP maually is fun. I have used both. But, “famous five minute install” simply rocks. The only thing that a non-techie guy must keep in mind is setting up a database. thats it.
