The purpose of implementing robots.txt with me is to get the search engines read it to include my blog.

I got the idea about ‘how to restrict sites and sections?’ from the above code.

But what is to include to let Search engines find the site at the same time not compromising sites security.

Can anyone suggest the right robots.txt. I want to implement this file. I have no idea ‘what to put in?’

Does anyone has idea, why Google no more shows video code to embed in Websites. Like earlier, once you click the Video title, the page used to display option to either play or embed in site.

For your first problem. I would rather suggest to make changes offline & save files. Then connect to internet and upload changed files to your server.

Second, do as adviced by MichaelH.

You can also enable in wp_list_category to show empty categories.

Check your browser settings and version. And also do you have installed flash etc. plugins.

I am not exactly remembered their web addresses. You can Google to find, as the name written above are in the correct form.

A. If you have asked ‘how to enter read more…?’ then do following,

1. If you are using WYSIWYG editor(WP or third party), click HTML button and enter <!–more–>.
2. If you uses non-WYSIWYG editor then just enter <!–more–>.

B. Incase you have asked for customizing TEXT of “read more”. Then open Post.php and look for <?php the_content(); ?> and enter your TEXT withing “()” next to content. For e.g. (‘read the rest of this post..’).

I feel the best & safest way is updating through ftp. Bco’z you can incorporate changes offline without any hindrences and safely upload after completion.

Online editing is good for making just a bit of small changes, which needs immediate attention and one doesn’t have time to edit/upload.

Rest is the choice.
