To be honest I have been so busy with other things that I’ve not yet had time to approach this again. I loaded Hummingbird because a theme requested it. Since then I’ve found out that particular company (the theme company)is not well liked because of little things like making it difficult to near impossible to remove footer text because of callbacks to said company inside of the theme code and fanatically checking to make sure the footer text is intact if you don’t PAY them.

Because of that I’m slowly removing that theme from the two sites I use it on. Even though I modified the theme code to get rid of all the ridiculous footer checks I learned how fanatical they were when I discovered the footer code check is in EVERY SINGLE piece of php code they wrote.

I’ll spend some time today playing around with Hummingbird again on another one of my sites and will report back shortly my findings.

Just finished adding the text to flow around that picture. Thank you so much. This can be closed out, but maybe leave my question and Joys answer around so that this might help someone else in the future.

Success! Thank you Joy. For that simple non-intuitive answer (to me anyways) I would show my appreciation with cup of coffee or whatever. You explained well, I followed the directions, and yes, it just works. Yeah, I definitely need to expand the text cause it does like cruddy, but you pointed that out before I attempted the effort.

There was a previous trolly message making fun of my image processing abilities (which is saved) and adding no help whatsoever. That post silently disappeared when you posted your answer.

    Thanks again.

Excellent. I will expand upon the text. There’s always additional gobbledygook to add as I remove so much during the editing process. It’s late now but I will attack that in the morning and will report back my success tomorrow.

    Thank you.

Thank you. What I did was start a post, thinking I could somehow manipulate that into what I wanted, but your reply has cleared up not only some general WordPress usage details but how I should mentally and WordPressively organize things.

The data is just a cut and paste of the console output so it is just a plain text file. I wouldn’t have thought of the excellent workaround of it being a file in my media library, as I have seen text based information automagically show up in there from time to time. I’m not particularly thrilled that if I choose this route it will be a ‘page’ sitting in my Media Library, but it’s a workaround I can live with.

I’m going to look into the <details><summary> markup however as I have seen that used on others pages and it’s high time I learned that, as it’s a cool feature and some might even say effect.

Based on what you wrote, I’d assume you already enabled the “Clear full cache when post/page is updated” setting inside Page Caching and you’re still facing these issues, right?

Oh, no, didn’t know that one. That sounds like it could fix the issue and maybe I can get Hummingbird back. Thank you for the response. I will go and check later and will update either way but just the sound of that sounds like it is the workaround/fix for the specific issue I was facing. Thank you, and forgive my shortsightedness. I’ve only been using WordPress a few months so still learning.

Okay, this is the next day after installing the Google reCaptcha service on one of my servers. I expected to see the same 4-8 pieces of spam mail I was receiving daily but I was pleasantly surprised. Either Mr. Henrydomo and his spam minions have given everyone a break from spam Christmas day (fat chance) or adding Google reCaptcha to my sites contact form has helped.

Outwardly nothing has changed. There’s nothing different visually and from that standpoint I’m indifferent. It might have been nice to see the little reCaptcha interaction. From a functional standpoint however, there’s no spam in that contact form instance and that was the goal I was trying to accomplish. Might even bring JetPack back if this becomes a streak.

I was getting the spam through the contact form on one of the sites I’m helping to build and hopefully this is the solution.

I’ll touch back on this thread in a few days to a week and update.

I got it all worked out. Of course it was me, and me being frustrated at the time the issue came up as I was working on something else. I revisited it the next day with a fresh morning and a fresh coffee, hopped on the www.ads-software.com site, with my email window open next to it, and between the two I was able to stop the flood of emails that were coming.

I was getting 10-30 emails everyday with the content being “Yes I installed it and it works great!” or something to that effect.

But, I had to send the original email and then uncheck the box below, because apparently checking the box by itself does nothing, or at least didn’t work for me, or I just didn’t know what I was doing.

    All good now, thanks.

I do have a spam issue (not plugin related, Akismet is not catching it, and JetPack made it worse so I had to chuck JetPack, which kinda sux) which is why I am back in the forums, but going to either try to find the solution in forums or will post message shortly.

    Thanks,
    Ron
