  • Are you thinking in long term?
Usually the closing time is followed by competition.
I believe that images are removed after competition.
So to review submitted images time is very short.
    Why to keep it visible?
It sounds good, unless it puts a lot of burden in the script.
Some clubs copy those images to another folder for posterity.
Is that what you are referring?
Our club and many that I know sends a confirmation of submissions.
Just between closing and competition, so members knows that their submissions are in the list for competition.
Also that report is used by the members for future reference of submitted images in their respective competitions.
    Let see what Josie says.

    An update on the issue.
It seems the error issue develops after having ratings done and erasing the entries in submission before clearing the ratings from the judges.

So now we are starting a new process of submissions:
    You open the webform for submission and check for ‘open’ then add a closing date;
    and save…
    You get error mentioned above.
The closing date is saved, but not the open check mark. so the submission still closed.
Uncheck the closing data, open the webform, save. All good.
Now add a closing date and save. You get the error, but it saves all.
So you are good to go. Hope this may help Josie.
Again no need to work on this as of now. as there is work/around for us the users doing the wrong thing.
    Thanks for all your help

By the way, This did happens after I installed EWZ Rating, had a full scoring.
Clear scoring, clear submission, the the error starting to show.
So we can work OK, Thanks

Thanks, but no need to hurry. I just confirmed that I can change the time or set it and when I save, I get the error, but , but guess what it saves it.
Everything works fine. The EWZ produces the csv file at the set time.
So no rush, If you ever get more details for it, it will be great.
Possibly could be a corrupt code some where.
I am contacting the hosting company to see what can they say.
    Thanks….

Thanks for the response and taking the time.
Yes the 1050 is the height.
    So what do you mean:
“need to allow for some shrinking by the browser”
Pardon my lack of knowledge, but how to accomplish it?

The present settings are 1366×768 and browser is set at 100%.
setting at 75 or 50% do not make any change.
The test page red border does not show the right hand side
    and the lower side.
I enlarge the screen size to 1920×1080.
The only red border not shown now, was the lower red border.
That was the max choices in PC.
So I see that PC setting will help, but still missing some.
1 I appreciate your work very much. These 2 plugin are the best.
2 I wonder if it could be possible to fix a frame in the website?
So all images will fit within frame established.
3 Is that possible or we have to deal with so many different browsers and different PCs, it would be impossible to normalize the display?
    Thanks for all your help.

    Thanks….

Having a closing time and creating an automatic csv files is great, I love it.
As the system we use, does everything automatically.
I have found an issue , Actually is the user procrastination that creates the problem.
    Case: Closing time Sat 11PM.
User login at 10:55. He is singing “I made it….
So he uploads the images and all is fine.
He Submit and signs out at 11:05 PM.
The problem: The files are in the SQl table. The csv file has no info of the person submission.
It it logically correct. The file was created at 11PM
Here is how I got around the problem
    1 Advertise closing time 11:PM
2 Uncheck actual closing time display.
3 Set closing time a 12. or 1 AM the following day.
For those who use the manual method created by EW, this does not apply.
As you create csv file way after.
    Hope this helps.

    250. Is relevant to clubs. A 10 members, yes, a 30 or 40, I would say no.
The product does so much more and it saves so much time for the digital director.
    250 is worth it.
The hosting, you can use your present site. Even if it self hosted.
The JUdge does not use website at all. It just interact with EW.
If you have more questions, please contact them. They are great support. Just Like Josie support. Excellent!!!!!
I could answer most questions [email protected]

I used a program called The Judge, one of its features is that interacts with The EWZ Online Judging. It collects the results of the judges and then at the club meeting, you can show the images, results and awards. All sorted by competition type and member class
All this is done with just clicks. no file handling at all or action by the digital director.

    Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [EntryWizard] File Names

Asking the Entry Wizard to handle files, maybe perhaps beyond the scope of the plugin.
I use The Judge and it does all for us. So Entry Wizard does a fantastic job in collecting the images, then this program handles everything.
Downloading, re-naming, sorting, and categorizing. Just clicks.
In other words manipulation, competition and management, so the Entry wizard is left to do what it does best.
We love the Entry Wizard and The Judge Camera Club Competition Software combination.
