Thanks croila, but I didn’t want to have to add code after every image I posted. Instead I added:

    <break clear="all">

after <?php the_content(); ?> in my index file

and that seems to have done the trick.

Kinda on the same theme, I want to install multiple blogs but just use a single database, changing the table prefix for each install. The big question is, will I be able to backup all the tables on the database by using the wp backup plugin from one of the blogs? Secondly, will the site load noticably slower by not having a different database for each blog? – I will have about 20 blogs. I’d appreciate any advice on this.

Problem solved. Thank you Zap and everyone who contributed.

Its ok, solved this one. Thanks Zap.

I really like your theme. I am trying to convert it into a scrolling gallery but I cant get Zap’s popup window plugin to work with it. Do you have any ideas? https://www.zappelfillip.de/index.php/2005-10-25/zap_imgpop/

The site with the hacked gallery (I haven’t taken it too far yet) is at: https://www.lonestarpress.org/photos

Zap’s plugin is activated but, as you can see it isn’t working with the Horizontal theme. I’ve tried it with an un-hacked version of Horizontal but it still doesn’t work.

Ok, I’ve loaded up the site again, this time with a WP 1.5 install. As it did on my local machine, Zap’s plugin works fine with the default themes but won’t work with Horizontal – as you can see.

Thanks jabacker, I really like your wee flash gallery by the way. I’ll try out the script when I get a moment.

Jim, I will go back and look at the instructions again. However, I don’t believe Zap’s code will work with WP 2.0 because of the way the images are uploaded – the quick example I set up online used WP 2.0. On saying that, I was having problems with a WP 1.5 install in the first place, on my local machine. I know that Zap’s plugin will work with WP 1.5 and any other theme EXCEPT Horizontal – which takes us back to the original problem.

Jim, I have been using FF but I have also tried it in IE, with the same results. Also, I couldn’t find the setting for “open link in new browser window” in FF. I have very quickly uploaded a copy of what I have on my home machine to: https://www.lonestarpress.org/photos. For some reason it isn’t displaying quite the same as on my local machine but the popup still doesn’t work, regardless. I think its worth my while to keep plugging away at this, so any suggestions will be welcome. I’m going out 2nite and won’t be around til 2moro but, hopefully, I’ll be able to take it a bit further then.

Jim, I’m just working locally on this at the moment. I’m halfway through converting the Horizontal theme to a scrolling gallery. I’m not getting any errors as such – instead of opening a popup, when I click on the thumbnail, it simply opens the image in a new window. Zap’s plugin works fine with other themes I have tried so, as I said, I’m assuming there is a conflict with the javascript code that’s already used in the Horizontal theme.

Actually Jack, although that solution isn’t particularly elegant, it does work well with the Horizontal theme – so thanks very much for that, I may have to use it if nothing else is forthcoming. However, I wonder why Zap’s plugin doesn’t work with that theme. I really would prefer the convenience of a simple plugin if it can be made.

Alas, this does not work with the Horizontal theme – which is the one I am using! I assume there is some sort of clash with the javascript used in the theme. Any ideas about a solution? I was so close!

Right, I’ve tried it now and your plugin works perfectly – just exactly what I was looking for. Thank you again.

Thanks very much, jimatwork, I haven’t had a chance to try it yet but your plugin seems to do exactly what I want. Yipee!

I’ve noticed a few requests on other forums for this type of plugin, so it seems to be in demand – but with no supply! Can anyone do this?

I’ve had a play around with Ajay’s plugin and hack but they are much too complicated for what I want. Any other offers?
