After updating to 3.2.2 on the wordpress “Update” page.
I saw a notification that one plugin needed an update (this SSL plugin).
So I clicked “update”.
It did the normal 2 second wait… said enabling maintenance mode, updating plugin 1/1, disabling maintenance mode.
Then, below that text, is where I saw this message about the site experiencing technical difficulties. It was on the “Update” page on my backend.

Hi Rogier,
Thanks. I followed these steps and don’t see any new errors. Just old ones from October 2018.
I clicked around on my website a few times after configuring my wp-config.php file how you suggested.
Not seeing any errors.
Any chance it’s just the plugin causing a “false positive” or something? A warning that shouldn’t be there?

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Not particularly good/useful to meI decided to change to 3 stars. It’s not as bad as I thought. I was overreacting. I admit ??
I create mostly long-form text. Very few images FYI.

In reply to: [Akismet Anti-spam: Spam Protection] More spam is getting through latelyThanks. I always mark them as spam. I guess I’ll see what happens this week and try to make a thread with a few really bad ones that got past the filter. Here’s one that just came in this instant. Total garbage, as you can see.

In reply to: Errors occured overnight, without me changing anything? Thanks, Steven. That’s a big help (seriously).
What would you do if this happened to you?
Talk to the plugin developer? Leave it as PHP 5.6 for a while? That’s all I can think to do…

In reply to: htaccess code to leverage browser caching. Use the word “plus”?Thanks for the reply. Really appreciate it.
I had assumed that’s how this functions in general… if someone visits on May 10, and I set the file type to last 1 year in their browser cache, it’ll stay until May 10 the next year?
I guess now I don’t understand what
ExpiresByType image/jpg "access 1 year"
does. (without the word “plus”).edit: okay, I see your 2nd reply now. Thanks. Hmm, okay, I guess I’ll have to think about which is best. I’m thinking it should be a year (or a month, or whatever) from when someone first accesses it. That’s how I assumed this all works anyway.
Then if they come back a year later, they’d re-load everything. That seems good.

In reply to: Does this piece of code look malicious/harmful?Thanks guys! It was my web host support team testing for potential errors.
Thanks so much for replying.
Hi, thanks for the reply! I followed those exact steps (in google chrome) but searching for “premium” in the browser doesn’t reveal anything, other than the very top section showing me that my premium license is active. (“License Status”)
No options further down the page are specifically labeled as “premium”, from what I can tell.
I’ll make a quick support ticket just to try to request more info on what options are now available as a part of premium. Hope you don’t mind!

In reply to: 3 unknown lines of code in .htaccessThank you! ^
Yea, it did seem incomplete.
I recently enabled an option in cpanel to block image hotlinking, then disabled it.
I was thinking maybe this code is leftover from that…
I’ll try commenting it out and see what happens I guess…. I know that’s a bit risky but I can always add it back

In reply to: Changing a post to a page?^^ If I do that I won’t be able to create the page with the same URL. I guess I can do a slightly different URL.
Or am I missing something?

In reply to: Never seen this in my life- URL of page was changed after publishingYes it’s a live site. I haven’t changed permalink structure in years. It seems to be fixed now so I don’t really want to make big changes but I’m just curious what happened.
I guess in the future I will never name an image the exact same as a post or page name.

In reply to: Use CSS to target single posts within certain categories?Nevermind, resolved! I realized that the category I wanted to “target” also had a specific post type that is different than the rest of the site. Figured out how to select that with CSS, all set!
