it should take you to a 404 page if I’m not mistaken.

The backup is placed here: public_html/wp-content/backup-db

and there is a valid .htaccess file with the following contents:

<Files ~ “.*\..*”>
order allow,deny
deny from all

I’m just using the default settings for paths in relation to backups. I actually noticed that all my plugin folders are now visible to the web. ouch!

ah. fixed it. I deleted the upgrade folder, and recreated it

The plugin is now installed.

However, upon trying to activate the plugin, it took me to a “not found” page.

I think the problem could be because I am using WordPress Multisite. any ideas?

Oh. Got it working. Deleting the upgrade folder and recreating fixed it.

Strange. I deleted it now I get the error:
Unpacking the package…
Could not create directory. /public_html

should I change the public_html folder to 777?

p.s. I’m using wordpress 3.1 MultiSite

I Was, just about to set it up using the Google Analytics Multisite Async, but doesn’t look like it’s compatible with WP 3.1. andy ideas?

I tried this out. doesn’t seem to work, or perhaps not at least how I set it up.

I’m using WP 3.1, Multisite, with domain mapping. Whatever theme I set the primary domain, this plugin reports that all the other sites are using the same theme.

Good idea. Just curious, if I used the same analytics code, do you have any idea if the reports would be broken up by child sites? And is there any special setup required for this to work?

I tried creating a site called “landingpage.clickmember.net” and then tried to map that to landingpage.filmperpc.com but it didn’t work.

Andrea – I’m a little confused as to what you mean. Is it possible for me to get this working with my current setup? I don’t mind unmapping filmperpc.com, but I’d still to use the same WordPress Multsite installation to manage that domain….are you saying it’s not possible because my WPMU is using domain mapping?

It was already set at 777…but noticed the blogs.dir wasn’t…just changed it to 777….and it worked!

The description for the plugin states

Users can get the site creation form by click on the ‘Create New Site’ link under the Dashboard Menu. (this is added by the plugin.)

But, at least in WordPress 3.1, I can’t see this anywhere…any ideas?
