We have rewrite problems with the new version of Polylang.
I believe that it was caused by this fix:

It worked until few days ago. Our URLs are Latin. The website showed me 404 for custom post type categories. Example:
https://ivn.org.il/he/portfolio/education-he/
Now it works, because I rolled back to version 1.5.5

Although I think that you are right and the documentation is clear about the pro features, I missed it too.
It is because there is a lots of writing, so you browse quickly and stop at the interesting things and all titles look the same (I know that it is not up to you).
