I’ve given up on this plug-in. It’s an absolutely awesome idea and I would pay money for a plug-in that offers the functionality this one is supposed to, but alas it no worky for me.
I can get it to perform manual backups as well as download the backed up file which seems to be complete as I’ve used this method for server migration, but the auto scheduling feature is hooped, as is the dropbox transfer function and even something seemingly simple like the time and date has gone screwy on me.
It shows the correct date, but the time is off. Deactivating and reactivating the plug-in caused the next scheduled backup to be for Dec31st, 1969. Changing the backup frequency to daily causes it to want to do the next backup a week from now, changing to weekly causes it to want to do the next backup the following day.
It’s a great idea, but it simply doesn’t work.
I’ve gone through the server logs looking for errors that could be the cause and everything checks out OK, so the lack of functionality is not related to anything server side. If it were I’d see the errors…. right?
