No it didn’t help. The badge is at a count of 336!

This has been a problem going on for years from what I can tell by the posts here on WordPress. No solution that I have tried has ever worked.

OK uninstalling and reinstalling seemed to do the trick.

Oh and I just decided to install wp-slimstat-shortcodes to see if that makes a difference.

For now, I have my database back. My host restored it. I think the problem may have been the fact that the original tables were created in Latin1, while the new tables were in UTF8. (Character Encoding).

I don’t know for sure if this is the problem. But I thought I would leave that nugget here in the event that someone else has this problem.

Sorry, that was the server version. The phpMyAdmin SQL Dump they did is from version 2.8.0.1.

I need some answers on how to fix this.

My host says the syntax needs to be updated to the right version of SQL. They are using version 5.0.45.

I’m not sure HOW to fix this since the backup is already created and the entire WP installation is gone. (Meaning I can’t do another backup of it.)

Here is what I did. After you went in and “flushed” it, the badge continued to get stuck. It was more or less, just reset.

I downloaded 1.4 and that made it go away. But then when I upgraded back to 1.75, it came back.

I also looked for the tables in the backend hoping I could delete that. I couldn’t find an associated table.

So something between 1.4 and 1.75 caused it to stick.

The one last fix is the “Important Information” (singular, not plural).

What do you suggest I do about the badge being stuck? I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. It didn’t fix it.

Is there a way to manually reset it? My badge notifications keep growing. It is now at 58.

I am already in 1.74. My badge remains stuck.

I had caching installed before, and it was working. I actually had to change things around and disable it (caching) because I’m having trouble with Google Analytics. (Don’t know what is causing my GA problems, but it’s been going on for awhile). Anyway, I’m not running caching now, and I’m having trouble with the plugin (since the plugin upgrade). Not sure why. Data is starting to return slowly. Whatever I did, fixed that. GA still isn’t working as it should. It’s recording some hits, but not others. I don’t get that.

Do you mean to tell me that your plugin doesn’t work with caching enabled? Because I haven’t been getting data for days, and I’m starting to get data now, but only some of it.

esmi… which is why one tries their best to figure out what went wrong. It’s working again, for now. I still don’t know what was wrong so troubleshooting makes it very hard.

I had the same issue. I had to delete it via ftp.
