My designer tried to install the plug-in, but it’s only compatible with WP 3.5 or higher and we’re using an older version. Is there a workaround?

I haven’t. But I will now that I know it can control commenting on a media page as well. Thanks!

Yes, I do know about commenting on particular pages, but this is an edit media page, which contains no such option. That’s the problem.

I mean <span> and <div> tags among other things that I have seen when people cut and paste directly from Word into a CMS. Example. Here’s the first graph of his post today:

What a mess! I have to remove all that coding before publishing.

Any similar reports from Windows 8 users? That is the only unique thing I can figure out that is causing this, because no one else has this issue.
