Yes, if I make a change to the Home Slider Settings and then try to make a change in the Mobile Slider Settings, the Upload button remains inactive. If I close the browser and create a new browser session I can make the change in Mobile Slider Settings.

I did see a Console error. I’ve taken a screen grab which you can see here:

I don’t know if this is related or not, as I can’t get this to repeat. And opening the Inspector seems to cure the fault!

Sorry I can’t be of any more help, other than to say that I installed a copy of InstantWP v5.6 with the Virtue free theme applied and I see the same problem there. (All WP updates applied – same on all instances).

No, when I clicked on the Upload button in the Slider Images dialog nothing happened, so I copied and pasted the URL from the Media Library.

I’ve just tried again, and this time clicking Upload worked, and now the images are showing.

The strange thing is that exactly the same problem is still happening on my local testing server, but here it still won’t allow me to click Upload. And I’ve also just realised that no image preview is happening in the dialog, even though it has the correct URL to the image entered. This was the same on the live server as well.

Yes, that’s exactly what I’d done. Changing it as you suggested to ‘no posts page assigned’ and then selecting ‘blog grid’ does exactly what I wanted.

I had this problem once when there was a corrupt download of the theme as it updated. If you download the latest version of the theme manually and upload the files to the relevant folder via FTP everything should be OK.

I think adding a small PNG and scaling it with CSS will be the best option (smaller overhead) rather than adding another plugin just to add one small icon which seems a bit excessive.

Got it working – I had changed the slug for the main portfolio page to ‘Projects’ before, but it hadn’t worked (probably a caching issue I think now) but I’ve done the same again and now its all working perfectly. And these Project sub-pages don’t have the 10 item default limit before pagination starts, so my client is very happy.

I re-saved the permalinks and still get the same error.

Are you saying that if I upgrade to the premium version then I’ll be able to control the pagination on my current page created from a menu link to the portfolio type.

And if I create a page using the ‘Portfolio Grid’ template (blank apart from the title and making it a child page of the Portfolio parent page) and select the relevant ‘Portfolio Work Types’ with ‘Items per Page’ set to ‘All’ I get a ‘Page not found’ error:

This isn’t a created page, it’s a link to a portfolio Type category created in a menu, so there’s no page to edit.

I’ve been asked to add a SoundCloud icon to some other social icons in the TopBar. What’s the best method so that it will match the others being used (FB, Twitter, possibly LinkedIn). I tried adding a PNG, but it didn’t scale with the other icons. I’m guessing you’re using an icon font for yours.

I was hoping there might be a way of adding a carousel/slider under the embedded SoundCloud audio in the two column layout with the text to the side.

I’m hoping my client (a composer) will approve getting the premium version as there’s some extra features I’d like to be able to use. Can I ask, would there be a way of making a portfolio page set to ‘video’ and using a SoundCloud audio clip to also have a carousel or slider style gallery of images as well?
