In reply to: [WP Opulus] Getting Rid of Auto-listed Categories in SidebarOk, so since this chain is active, does anyone know how to change the *size* of the sidebar? It’s too big for me and I would like to make the sidebar smaller.

In reply to: [WP Opulus] Getting Rid of Auto-listed Categories in SidebarWho is with those guys was a joke referring to actual parents, like mom and dad.
Anyway, did you check the categories section? Posts>Categories. Maybe you made a page or category into a parent tab?

In reply to: [WP Opulus] Getting Rid of Auto-listed Categories in SidebarSo I’m not sure about the parent stuff (who is with those guys!), but I did manage to get rid of the automatic Categories in the sidebar. I’m really proud of myself cause I’m a super noob at code, but I figured out the changes that have to be made in the Sidebar.php:
You’ll find this code about a few times,
<h2 id="side_nav_title"><?php _e('Categories', 'nimbus'); ?></h2>
Essentially what you have to do is search each line in the code for “categories” and erase that entire line. BE SURE TO SAVE THE ORIGINAL CODE SOMEWHERE SAFE BEFORE MAKING PERMANENT CHANGES.
Hope that helps!

In reply to: [WP Opulus] Why Fronts View Differently on Chrome and FireFox?Ok, here ya go:
Chrome: https://snag.gy/xepPq.jpg
FireFox: https://snag.gy/qrv5T.jpgYou can clearly see the fonts are different. Additionally, in Chrome if I zoom in or out (say between 90% and 120%) the main header and main menu bar overlap.

In reply to: Took WP Download Off of FTP, Now NothingOk, I assume there is something wrong on like 47 of the wp-config.php since now when I load my url I see:
“Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING in /home2/rrfxk/public_html/wp-config.php on line 47”
However,
line 47 says ” * You can generate these using the {@link https://
line 48 api.www.ads-software.com/secret-key/1.1/salt/ www.ads-software.com secret-key
line49 service}I changed the SALTS as well, but no luck.

In reply to: Took WP Download Off of FTP, Now NothingOk, thanks for the feedback.
Unfortunately I am still confused. I am logged into my cPanel of HostGator and I have the DB name and username correctly copied (I’ve resorted to copying the names into the https://examplename.com/wp-admin/setup-config.php?step=1 link).
I’m still getting that there are problems however. Is this because I downloaded the WP version 3.7.1 a second time and used a second (different?) unzipped folder from the WP site?
Thanks for the support so far!
