In the block settings, I DO have the custom colors for text and background that I set in the customizer, and I can select them. But aren’t these suppose to be the default colors? And it ignores the typography setting as well.

Thanks for the CSS for the typography, I see it works by adding it to the CSS customization.

Okay – more investigation. I CAN set the button color and text color in the block setting, and the colors I assigned in the customizer button colors and typography tab are choices. But when I set them in the customizer, aren’t they supposed to be the default?

Also, the text is to all caps (Uppercase) not Capitalize as I set in the customizer. There is no place in the block setting to change it.

Aha! I have to go to the footer line and add those widgets manually! I don’t think I’ve ever done this before – it has always worked from the WordPress interface. I guess you have updated the interface? Anyway – fixed.

Within the theme customizer, I don’t know have the option to add widgets because of the message I showed you before: https://prntscr.com/uj2xgs that says this page does not have those widget areas.

The theme footer line with the copyright does show, but the footer widgets do not appear on the page https://www.hfebooks.com https://prntscr.com/ul6khi

If I switch to 2020 theme, the footer widgets display correctly. I have one other site using the footer widgets with Neve that has been up for 6 months that works fine.

I tried to rebuild a fresh page and still no footer widgets display. There are 3 other people in the Neve forum on facebook with the same problem – FYI

I switch to 2020 theme and all the footers show up. It seems to be something with Neve.

Can you take a look https://hfebooks.com/ and tell me if you can figure what is blocking this. I have the layout set to contained, but I changed it and still couldn’t get the footer.

I have disabled almost everything except jetpack, akismet, and a contact form that would go into the footer.

That has gone away too! I switched from “reader” which says it is compatible with Neve theme, to “transitional” which maybe ouwld be more compatible? Sorry to trouble you (again)

You’re right, they all went away. Maybe something with the initial WP 5.5 or a plugin? Oh well – sorry to bother you.

Same issue

It took me 20 minutes to completely convert a site and customize the branding to match the previous look and feel with better design template to begin with in Neve. I’ve done this with 3 non-commerce sites.

Did you just try removing the plugin and reinstalling the new one?
