In reply to: [Neve] Block quotes only centerThe theme update came a week ago or so and the menu alignment is still not working. I have the header alignment set to left justify and it is still centered in desktop view. Mobile view is left justified. https://judithstarkston.com

In reply to: [Neve] Block quotes only centerThank you! Your support has been great. I do not need any of the Pro features, but I will sign up shortly, just to $upport the work you all do.
Sorry for the confusion – front end, back end, editor – I am not really a coder, just figuring out as I go along to get the website looking good. ??
I know this thread is on block quote alignment, but I have the same problem with the menu – same issue – it won’t center. Hoping the next theme update fixes that as well.
Regards – Bob

In reply to: [Amadeus] Header Parallax Image suddenly stopped workingI just switched to their recommended replacement theme – Neve. I played around in preview mode to see how to implement a similar look and since it only took me about an hour to configure, I just implemented it on the live site. I have two minor problems: the menu and the quote block do not follow the justification selected, but instead center. ThemeIsle was very responsive looking into it and saw I had a workaround by putting a left justify CSS code into the block (not sure if the block CSS code is a Neve feature or an Otter blocks plugin feature – which they recommend you use)
Anyway, Neve gives you better customization of fonts, header, footer, background color or images – on the page or in the header or footer. I’ve been very pleased.

In reply to: [Neve] Block quotes only centerWordpress has replied that this is a theme issue:

In reply to: [Neve] Block quotes only centerAnd this only started when I switched from Amadeus to Neve. Seems to me a theme issue?

In reply to: [Neve] Block quotes only centerMy menu alignment is not working either. No matter what alignment I select everything is center aligned.

In reply to: [Neve] Block quotes only centerHmm. I couldn’t get that to work yesterday. All of my pages with block quote are centered – maybe there was some problem in the theme change that lost the left align setting and I need to reset them all – bummer.
Before your reply I added this CSS below to a couple of the blocks and it works though it still looks wrong in the Gutenberg editor. I suppose a WP problem…
selector p.wp-block-quote {
text-align: left;

In reply to: [Amadeus] Announcement of posts by tiles on the main pageI’m using an “Advanced Gutenberg” plugin that has a recent posts block where you can do this. Also Atomic Blocks and Jetpack have a posts block. Check the options on the right column to set the column count and max # of posts.

In reply to: [Amadeus] Amadeus. unsharp header imageSorry – I just saw the site. I thought you meant the site logo.
The header image is a little blurry on my 1920×1080 becasue your image is 1405 x 449 and it is stretching it to screen size. Not sure what the solutions are other than to increase your header picture resolution. Maybe there is some CSS to limit the header width below screen size. It looks like you are using Elementor – did you look for a setting there?

In reply to: [Amadeus] Amadeus. unsharp header imageI believe I used an open source drawing program called inkscape. If the original artwork is not SVG, you can try to load the highest resolution version of your artwork and save it as an SVG. I think I did that once and it scales much clearer still when used as a header graphic. Maybe someone else on the forum can help with other ideas, but my amateur understanding is that when the image is rendered bigger than the original artwork it gets blurry. SVG is a vector graphics format that will scale the image without bluring it.

In reply to: [Amadeus] Amadeus. unsharp header imageI had the same problem and read that if you use an SVG file that it will scale better. I switched to an SVG file and it looks great.
