I still need a solution, need a way for a member to register another person this maybe moderated

Still I need a way for a registered member to register another person
i.e we have a community of very old people and one member wants to add a friend (even older and not using a computer) to be part of the community,
i can live with a form that creates a “pending autorization” member that an administrator can aprove.

Well, in version 1.3.88 it is possible and we use it!
The site is a repository of a specific existent community of people,
We created a role “registered” in UM with his data, and a role “member” with more privileges like comments or view specific pages and do specific actions.

Green members have full privileges, yellow members are only registered (maybe they very old or don’t have email etc.) and black members are deceased,
A standard member can “register” another person (of course this is moderated) if the person is alive and has email, he will receive a notification too, and can request to be a full member.
The thing is that to “register’ somebody to the UM community we have to create a WP user.
In version 1.3 there is no problem. It works nice but in version 2 as you said: it is not possible :(.
So we are sticking to version 1.3
