    Hi @tamierp

I created this plugin for users that were already familiar with Tinychat,
Since then Tinychat has changed more times than I can count,
Unfortunately I do not control Tinychat.

I should of added instructions on how to use Tinychat and what the features are,
I will however update the plugin later with much better information,
I will also include the features that each ‘Level’ has.

At present there are 4 main levels, which are Basic, Pro, Extreme and Gold,
Basic is free and you can have one room associated with your username on signup,
However you can create multiple ‘disposable’ rooms.

Since the changes Tinychat has introduced in the past few months it now makes it harder for users to be logged in on crossed domains, which to over come that it now makes it a little more advanced.

I do apologise about that, but I will update the plugin later to include more information.

    Thanks,

    Rudder

    Hi @tamierp

    Thanks for the questions,
I will update the plugin later to let users know how to to register on Tinychat,
At present the chat only shows for user that are logged in to your website,
I will however remove that, so the chat shows to all,
So if you give me a couple of days to update the plugin then that would be great.

    Thanks.

    Hi @islevegan

Thanks for the input, but due to bad health the past 20 months I’ve only done basic updates,
The idea’s you’ve suggested is something I’d like to do to be honest,
but I’ll make sure I’m up to full health until I try a full rewrite.

I could however create you a personal plugin based on this for your website so that the room you select automatically loads as I’ve done that a few times for several users that have requested it,
I could also try to get the name of the WordPress user so when they join the chat room then their name shows but they’ll still have the ability to change their names in the chat.

Also Tinychat was purchased about 2 years ago by another company and since then they have changed a lot of the API data on their servers so I’ve not done much of what you’ve suggested since then due to them changing the API data and also where it’s stored on there servers which is a pain but for the past 12 months it looks like they’ve stayed with the usual paths.

If you could get back to me if you’d like me to do a separate version for you then please let me know.

    Regards,

    Rudder

    Hi @supernovia

    Thanks for the reply,
I’ve now corrected it, it was a conflict with an older plugin,
I’ve now removed it and Jetpack is working fine.

    Hi @abu117

This could be down to the browser itself,
If you see a padlock/green area in the
Url bar then click on it and select options/settings, it should show you the all the permissions for the page, simply allow the camera/mic sections and it should work then, but each browser is different so be aware of that

    Rudder.

    Hello @adminkov

    Sorry about the delayed response!

But..The plugin automatically creates a pages with the embedded short code,
So if you go to the dashboard on your blog your and select Appearance then select Menus,

From the pages area on the page, you can then add the chat page to the menu structure so that it will display on your website on which ever header you selected it to be on,

All that you only need to do if you’re using a custom them or a them from the WordPress directory,

If you have it all set to the default them then it will add the chat page to your header automatically.

I hope that clarifies it, But if you do need anymore help with it you can contact me anytime.
