In reply to: [Totally Booked] How to make the /books page not an archive@ Ben, have you had a chance to look at my question above?
I’m looking for two buttons, one in black (READ MORE), one in red (BUY NOW) on the /books page for each book.
Much appreciated,

Thank you so much for that code.
I put it in the custom CSS option, and it works great.
Check it out:
https://www.bennettandcompany.ca/books/However, and I hope I’m not being too annoying with my requests here, but I failed to be clear on my last query to you. I would like to have your READ NOW button in black the way it was, that links to the individual book pages, and beside those black buttons have a red BUY NOW button for each book on the /books page.
So it looks like:
[The BOOK TITLE]
[The BOOK Description]
READ MORE (in black) BUY NOW (in red)So people have an option to read on, or buy right away if they choose.
Does that make sense?
Again, I’m sorry for the lack of clarity in my question above.
Is there an easy code solution for this two-button approach?
Thanks,

In reply to: [Totally Booked] How to make the /books page not an archiveHey Kelli,
Thank you so much for that suggestion. It worked great!
Check it out: https://www.bennettandcompany.ca/books/bennett-consumer-bankruptcy/So the last question I have is how can I put that new button on the /books page? Does that involve serious coding or can it be as easy as mirroring the “Read More” button beside it? (You can tell I’ve never learned how to code ??
Best,

In reply to: [Totally Booked] How to make the /books page not an archiveHi Kelli,
Thanks so much for this coding fix. I’m not experienced with coding, but changing 20 to 40 worked! It looks great. Thank you.
Is there a similar coding change that you could suggest for the “Buy now” buttons? I’d love for them to be like your “Read More” buttons, but in red background, and beside the “Read More” buttons.
I’ll ask the ThemeForest folks – yes it’s a LawBusiness Theme – for the change to the title. Should be a quick fix.
Best regards,

In reply to: [Totally Booked] How to make the Featured Image full?@ Ben
I figured it out – actually Trisha Fuentes told me the answer – to resize the photos to 180 x 270 and then upload them.

I still have one more related question left.
The sizing of the text is still not right – it’s overlapping the images: https://www.bennettandcompany.ca/books/
Can you suggest how to move the text over to the right a little?
Thanks!

Thanks Ben, as a follow up, is there a way to change the title of the /books page?
Right now it has two titles: Website Archives and then below that Books Archives.
I’d love to change it to just “Books”.

Any tips?

Thanks for your help. I changed the thumbnail image sizes, and regenerated the images.
But the Totally Booked plugin uses “Featured Images” not thumbnails. And it is the Featured Image that is cropped top and bottom.
How can I resize the Featured Image to make it the full size?
Thanks,

In reply to: [Totally Booked] How to make the Featured Image full?@ Ben thanks for your speedy reply.
Here’s a link example:
https://www.bennettandcompany.ca/books/bennett-bankruptcy-16th-edition-2014/
You’ll see the image on the left of the screen is the “Featured Image”, which is actually the middle section of the image, as the top and bottom have been cropped off. I put a full image in the body of the text so you can see what the full image looks like. The same problem occurs on the https://www.bennettandcompany.ca/books page, except I did something to make the images huge. It has to do with the Media settings. I changed the thumbnail sizes to very large, and then changed them back, but the size of the images stayed the same. I reset the thumbnail size back to 150 x 150 pixels, but it wouldn’t change the size of the photos on the page. So now all the images are cropped top and bottom and way too large.
I’m wondering if there’s some simple way to fix all of this.
Thanks for your help.

In reply to: [Totally Booked] Book image getting clipped, top and bottom missingHi Dan,
Thanks for replying.
Could you share with me the person who did the work, please?
If not, then that’s okay, I’ll find someone.
Thanks,
RussHi Kelli, any chance you know what code works for this? Thanks, Russ
