In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Extra gray box underneath reCAPTCHAI’m getting the same thing – what appears to be a text box beneath reCAPTCHA. Changing theme to 2017 doesn’t get rid of it.
- This reply was modified 6 years, 3 months ago by Russell. Reason: Forgot to add about 2017 theme also having same problem
Hi Oleg,
Thanks for that. I added that, and I still can’t get any single product label link in either my own theme or 2017.
I appreciate your help, but may have to try a different plugin (if there is one!).
Best regards,
RussellPrivyet Oleg,
I changed to the theme 2017, and the results are the same. The theme I’m using is one I created in Artisteer. I’ve had other WooCommerce add-ons installed before with Artisteer themes, and have had no problems.
The site URL is https://survivalaquaponics.com
If you would like I’d be happy to send the zipped theme?
Best regards,
RussellJust adding this because I forgot to tick ‘Notify me of follow-up replies via email’
None of my sites have ‘admin’ as a valid user. Attempts to login a ‘admin’ are immediately permanantly locked out. I have had lots of attempts to log in as ‘admin’ blocked by i-Themes Security, and I’m confident that they’ve been locked out permanently.
I have changed the login slug to a random set of numbers and characters, but sadly few special characters work in the login slug (as it is part of a URL). Within 12 hours of changing the login slug, I get more attempts to log in as ‘admin’.
I also have two factor authentication, so I’m inferring that i-Themes Security locks out hack attempts as soon as the hacker inputs ‘admin’ and whatever password, before the TFA kicks in. Is that correct?
Are these hackers using password brute-force attacks to find the login slugs? Is there anything else I can do? I can’t understand how they can find the login page so quickly.
Hi dwinden,
Thanks for the help. I would never have looked among the ads for a key function of the plug-in.
The free plugin plus extra features what exactly what I meant – if the free plugin has issues, then the paid plugin will have them too, and it’s not really encouraging me to get the paid plugin the way it is. I’m trying out a couple of different programs on some other sites, and will see how they go.
Thanks again,
RussellHi Dwnden – yes, it’s amazing how well hosting works once you pay the bill!
My guess is that it went over bandwidth and got restricted – it has happened to me a couple of times.
While hosting companies allow their automated systems to cut you off very quickly, they seem to be much slower to re-activate the account once you’ve paid. You can measure how quickly they de-activate an account in milliseconds, but to get it re-activated can be measured in days!
Cheers,
RussHi Dwinden,
Many thanks for that. Overall I’m happy with i-Themes, but I’m reluctant to spend money buying the Pro version if the demo (free version) doesn’t work properly. The free version is there to tempt us to pay for a version with more features, not to upgrade from a version with bugs.
Cheers,
RussellHi Dwinden,
I was commenting on the topic in general, rather than reacting to your post as such, so sorry if I gave you the wrong impression ?? I see the link to https://ip-lookup.net/domain-lookup.php in the email notifying me that an IP has been locked out. The IP that is locked out is a hyperlink to https://ip-lookup.net/domain-lookup.php
My suggestion was for i-Themes to fix their email rather than for users. Your workaround is spot on – butwouldn’t be necessary if the email was accurate!
Cheers,
RussellA far simpler solution would be to re-word the email and change the URL from trace-ip to one that works.

In reply to: Plugin search improvementHi Joy,
I am not equating last update with relevancy, and cannot understand how you read that into my request. I am talking about being able to sort by last update, by version compatablity as well as by relevancy.
I don’t think it’s a matter of how well written a plugin is. Frequent updates are a sign that the plugin hasn’t been abandonned by the developer.
Outdated plugins account for 54.2% of WordPress vulnerabilities according to WP WhiteSecurity. (https://www.wpwhitesecurity.com/wordpress-security/statistics-highlight-main-source-wordpress-vulnerabilities/).
While it is possible that outdated plugins may still work without leaving any vulnerabilities, I for one do not take that chance.

In reply to: [Edwiser Bridge - WordPress Moodle LMS Integration] Access control exceptionI’m having the same problem – and I’m using the System Adminsitrator (currently the only user). I’ve followed the directions on https://edwiser.org/bridge/documentation/#tab-b540a7a7-e59f-3 to the letter, and still get the error: Access control exception
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
p.s. I just installed Epoch and I love it!! Thanks for the suggestion.
Hi Jason,
You’re not being difficult at all. I made an assumption I shouldn’t have made. I assumed you’d just make a few comments yourself to check it out. The site has only just gone ‘live’ so there are no real comments.
The good news is that I have found why the ‘Report’ button wasn’t showing. As there was only one comment (one I’d left while logged in as Admin and then changed the nickname) I logged out to add another – and the ‘Report’ button appeared. Once I log in as Admin, the button disappears. I hadn’t thought to log out to check it.
Thanks so much for creating such a useful pluging and thanks even more for your help. I’m just sorry I wasted your time.
Perhaps something can come of this – put a note in the description or install instrucitons saying that the ‘Report’ button may not appear when logged in as admin?
Thanks again for your help,
