That makes sense. I’ll go back through those pages to see if such a statement exists. Maybe my answer is in there.

I was actually digging around in the codex to see if I could stumble onto something. Trouble, stumbling is my fastest mode of going through the codex. Still, I’m picking things up all the time.

Moshu, thanks again. You’ve been extremely with your time and knowledge. It’s people like you that have me a dedicated WP fan. I few times I’ve come in here, someone is always nice enough to suggest something, usually, it works.

Moshu you hit the nail on the head. I cannot find a page.php template in this theme. So the pages are coming from somewhere (obviously) but where, I don’t know. I’ve check every spot that had the word page in it but they only control the creation and edit page function. There is no page template itself for me to modify. At least one so titled that I’ve found yet.

Any suggestions?

I have another question if I may. I noticed that the right sidebar does not show up on Pages as it does elsewhere. Where would I lookfor the code to to automatically reformat those pages to show that right sidebar every time?

Thanks podz. Yes, the extra characters in the code were the ones adding the %20, and making it a non-valid url. I deleted them and it works perfectly. I’ll look into the other thing, changing the description line now.

I’ve updated some of the graphics and colors (thanks to your suggestions). I’m getting closer to it being a more personalized site. Not that I don’t like the Connections theme. It’s an actual theme I just hate using all the stock graphics.

Thanks very much for taking the time to reply. I’ve been through, in a very cursory manner, the codex. It’s a lot of information which, for the beginner such as myself, makes it very difficult to find specific answers. An analogy. If your kid asks you for your information for a report on “Dams In Egypt” and you hand them a Britannica, certainly the answers are there. But they could spend weeks finding it. If you hand them a Britannica and suggest that they look up “Aswan Dam” in the A book, that gives them a firm starting point and if they cannot answer it themselves from then on, well, perhaps they’re lazy. I’m lazy, in that I don’t care to unlock all the mysteries of CSS. I just want to get some insight on where some of the basic stuff is altered. My skills lie in other areas.

But thank you, very much, for the suggestion. I do and will continue to use the Codex as a resource.

An answer to your question and some follow ups.

I did try changing the tagline in Options and it changes it in both places. Obviously I need to dig deep to change it in only one location.

I changed something badly in the links int he header. The second link, “about” I managed to do properly, it now links to a page. I tried changing the “home” link to just link to the main page and it’s adding the link and the characters “%20” appear at the end of the url, making invalid. Any idea what I might have done wrong or what that strong should really look like (if my home url is https://www.priusownersgroup.com/)?
