my apologies – all the logos are back to normal and the load is back to 14 seconds! I’ll keep trouble shooting.

fyi – many of my compressed logos are now showing up incorrectly fyi – I’m not sure how I will resolve that other than reload them all. Do you know? On another note, I ran loaded WP Mimify and that seemed to fix the slow load issue. Now I have to fix the logo issue.

just did those things you recommended and load time per the speed test doubled to 29 seconds! The size of the page is not any smaller at 2.1mb. Time spent per content type is 92% for HTML.

is there anything that could backfire if I run the compress images? I am set to do it but wanted to be sure I wasnt going to break something, or make an image so small that it doesnt look good.

after downloading the plugin, can I use it to compress the pics already loaded in my media folder? And will that then compress the pics on the website?

is there a link to step by step on how to compress images with a plugin? How do I clear cache? do you mean in my browser?

no – I havent done that. How do I go about compressing all images? Is clearing cache a separate activity or is that how I compress images?

would it help to remove the video from the page? I was pretty sure the two photos were under 500kb each but the pingdom stats show the home page is 2.3mb.
