Sorry for the very late reply! I’m trying the method you’re suggesting, my TasteWP adress is: pinkbooks.s3-tastewp.com

Sorry to post again while it seemed the basic issue had been resolved, but… Long story short, I tried to solve the issue following the successful restoration, but failed, so I ended up launching the restoration process again, thinking it would bring me back to where I was. But it didn’t: the process stopped at around 50%. Here is the debug code: BMI-5cx2ygeL-17455

I tried another restoration, following the steps you described. And this time, the restoration process fully completed! So it’s progress.

Unfortunately, now I am greeted with an error message when trying to access my site: “There has been a critical error on this site” and a link to a FAQ. At least it’s an error message I never got before so my first issue is resolved, it’s just a different problem now.

I don’t know if it has something to do with the plugin or, more likely, with my website data itself. I’m not marking my issue resolved, because if you still can/would help me I’d greatly appreciate it. In any case, thank you for your help.

I made a fresh installation of WordPress on my website, I installed the latest beta version of the plugin you provided, then modified the backup .zip file like you said by suppressing .htaccess and .user.ini (there wasn’t any php.ini though).
I ran the backup progress and this timet it didn’t just seemingly crash at 31% like before, instead it send me an error at about 40% of replacing the file and it gave me a debug code! Here it is : BMI-lNcD9vlc-10359

(So it’s still not working but it’s not working differently! Progress is being made! Thank you for your help thus far)

I’m surprised it says I’m using v1.2 of the plugin, because when I try to make the migration, I’m doing it on a fresh install of WordPress, where I install the plugin from the proper menu, so it is the latest version when I migrate.

But it might have been an older version when i made the backup, could this have an incidence?

Here is the debug info I managed to get: BMI-WRd35HYt-78603

Mind you, this is after I had to reinstall the website, I’m just trying to see if it helps at all.

The thing is, after a failed backup attempt, I can’t access to my WP control panel, I get an internal server error. I close my browser window when I see the process has froze and when I go back, this is what I get.
Is there a way to tell the backup process to stop itself “more gracefully” when it stops working for some time, as it happens here? So I could then get the debug info
