It appears that one POTENTIAL cause for this was that I was running fastcgi on the server. I switched back to the most recent stable php version. We’ll see if I have any more issues with it…

I’ve searched the forums and documentation on this issue. I don’t see any discussions on this that aren’t at least over a year old.

And this type of error seems to happen mostly with sites that have a ssl cert. This is just a basic wordpress install.

If I’ve missed a thread on this, please let me know. I’ve set up many other sites like this, and this issue has never happened before. There’s gotta be something!

OK, I went in and tested the HTML version also, and that doesn’t work either.

I chatted with Aweber support, and they sent me back here.

I understand this is a security feature. Is there a workaround to this? I don’t want users to be able to post crazy embed codes or malicious scripts for obvious reasons, so I agree with the security. I would like people to be able to post opt in forms though. Even the HTML version is getting blocked.

As in, Aweber makes the js version of their form available, because it’s much shorter. But the long html version is available also. Perhaps that would work?

I’ve altered how I use the plugin, so I’m only using it as a single FAQ. It’s clearly meant to be able to organize multiple categories, but I can’t find a shortcode variation or anything that works either.

The guy I had fix my site does not speak English very well. Dude definitely knows WordPress, but unfortunately I can’t parse his explanation to me. He basically said there was something about the way we created user accounts in multisite that caused the site to not recognize the correct user in the comments section. The gravatar worked everywhere else across the site…just not in the comments section.

I know that’s not helpful lol. Sorry I can’t provide more insight.

I had even installed wp user avatar plugin that allows you to import your own image directly to the site, overriding the gravatar. Again, it worked just fine except in the comments section.

Thanks for taking a look Andrea. I can’t disable all plugins simultaneously right now as it’s a live site. That said, I can plan on taking it down for some maintenance soon though no problem.

It seems like the best solution is to submit a ticket at Studiopress. I debated that to start with. I will do my best to follow up here for the benefit of this thread also.

I have other sites running this plugin also, but they’re all acting the same.

I would also like to use this for custom post types w custom taxonomies. For example Agentpress Listings custom post type.

While technically these are just pages, the unique taxonomies (categories) I use for Listings custom post type do not show up on the settings page when I work with this plugin, so I’m currently assuming this functionality is not present.

Is there a workaround? Or is the plugin being updated soon to include this type of functionality? Or is there an alternate plugin that will make this work?

When I import the content into a standalone install, it works fine. Gravatars all seem normal. It’s gotta be something with multisite. What’s more I must have done something to screw up this particular site, because none of the other sites in my multisite are having this issue.
