Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Unusual Case of “not allowed to access this page”I am the developer lol
That is what makes this issue “Unusual”.
The plugin is being installed on fresh blogs without issue. This one case suggests a permission problem for the main administrator on a blog that has no role editing plugins and everything else seems to be alright.
The only difference I can see is the fact that it is a .tv domain. Been a long time since I got stuck like this has to be something silly eh!

In reply to: [TwitchPress Login Extension] Integration with Ultimate MemberAll Done
TwitchPress UM Extension was created to offer subscription integration with Ultimate Member roles. The Login Extension now adds settings for hiding the WP login form and forcing login by Twitch only. There is also a setting to allow automatic registration using this approach.Still Lots To Do
It’s all still very new. Many weeks of work is required to cover every scenario i.e. if even the administrator has to log into WP using the Twitch button and there is an issue with the Twitch API then the administrator would not be able to access their WP.See GitHub
What is important is that I think ahead on all of this and the issues are queued in GitHub. What is also important is funding to drive the project forward quicker. I know you use GitHub @thatgirlslays but I type this for other visitors.Ultimate Member 2.0 Coming Soon
Version 2.0 of the UM plugin is due soon and the new version removes their own independent role approach. The developers will be using WP roles only. That means anyone installing UM 2.0 will find that it does not work with the current version of TwitchPress UM Extension.Twitch.tv/Nookyyy Funding
There is no risk of falling behind as Nooky has funded development in this area of the project and to honor his support I will making UM a priority integration for the entire future of the project.TwitchPress is a very busy project.
I was still looking into it and I don’t think the issue is with Shield anyway.
Thanks for your time.
Should anyone have a similar issue with a login related plugin and WPML. Look at WPML sessions and how language switching using WPML itself uses a range of methods to ensure cookies are generated for each subdomain.
It seems a login plugin needs to maintain those cookies using WPML functionality. Shield only appears to interfere because there is an issue with the user’s session when moving between sub-domains – I think!
Oops! Yes, I meant Shield and it does not allow me to edit it.

In reply to: [Channel Solution for Twitch] Project RoadmapYou certainly have my attention and I’ve just created about 8 new issues on the project’s GitHub to ensure these are looked into. Some are close to what I had planned but a little more refined and specific within your needs so this has been great feedback.
I’m about to create an extension that integrates with a plugin called Ultimate Members. The goal is for Twitch subscription levels to affect UM membership levels.
The same can be done for any plugin and the extension I create will be ready to make work with any membership plugin.
Last week I released the TwitchPress Login Extension so that we can offer Twitch login and registration to visitors.
Once the next extension is done I will come back to the core plugin and release a big update. Then I’ll go through the extensions again. I don’t want to create too many extensions too soon because the core is still in an early state. But I do want to cover everything other plugins offer and remove any need to have multiple different Twitch plugins communication with the Twitch API.
You’re Invited to GitHub
If you have requirements in future, you can submit them on the projects Issue board. Do not worry about the various options. Just type up your thoughts and wishes then submit.Forum: Reviews
In reply to: [Channel Solution for Twitch] Working and Looking Forward to New FeaturesThank you for your support.
I’m following you on Twitch now and will be watching how my plugin/s serve you. The first extension was released last week and I’m already working on the next.
I’ll give you special priority for any new features or improvements you demand. The project is on GitHub if you want to influence it there and drive your requests.

In reply to: [Channel Solution for Twitch] Channel Not FoundGlad you got some joy and it’s just the beginning for this project.
I think it is a good idea to allow all post types to be shared. I created a new issue on the projects GitHub which can be followed for updates on it’s completion.

In reply to: [Channel Solution for Twitch] Channel Not FoundNot a problem.
I wasn’t meaning to suggest you edit anything. I’ve actually just released an update which focuses on making the Setup Wizard smoother. It should solve your problem.
I’m hoping this update is enough to get a good review because this new project only has one review so far…and the guy done 1 star! So I’m trying hard and I’m here to help.
Custom Post Type
TwitchPress has a custom post type and the plan is to offer every feature possible for those. So widget are certainly possible and just around the corner.Embedding Extension
TwitchPress has an extension system. An extension will be created for embedding channels.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Channel Solution for Twitch] Channel Not FoundI’ve not managed to re-create the error. It is possible that it was temporary or the “get_headers” function is disabled on your hosting. I can do some work to help figure it out.
Here is the code I think I should be looking at and the message I think your talking about.
$headers = @get_headers( 'https://www.twitch.tv/' . $main_channel ); if( !$headers ) { TwitchPress_Admin_Notices::add_custom_notice( 'wizardchanneldoesnotexist', sprintf( __( 'The channel you entered was not found. You entered %s. Please check the spelling and try again.'), esc_html( $main_channel ) ) ); return;

In reply to: [Channel Solution for Twitch] Channel Not FoundHey
Thank you for coming to me about this. It’s a very new plugin and I’m actually working on it right now and I’ll run some tests regarding this issue.
I’ll do that within the next couple of hours but I’m working on the next big update for the plugin. I just started yesterday and it will take 2 weeks. So this is a good opportunity to let me know exactly what you need your WordPress site to do with the Twitch API.

In reply to: [CSV 2 POST] Wow 1700 pages created with one template!Hi LeonN1960
Long story shortened. I’m the author of the plugin and WebTechGlobal (.co.uk) is no more as I’m shutting it down, but I am continuing my plugin development.
Now what has been happening is a whole new approach to plugin development that meets the standards of plugins like WooCommerce. This year I released the TwitchPress plugin and Multitool. These plugins show the approach I’ll soon be applying to CSV 2 POST.
The CSV 2 POST project has been pulled in different directions multiple times as I wrestle to perfect it. It was my first plugin. So it isn’t perfect and I intend to change that as a personal mission.
The project is almost next on my task list meaning I’ll be working on it by the end of the month and releasing an update next month.
Thanks for your time.

In reply to: [CSV 2 POST] Need help for import csv files and settingup a projectHi CSV 2 POST User, this is an automated response…
I’m only joking. Thanks for using CSV 2 POST. It’s due for another big update and I am working on it.
I suspect something may have gone wrong because a data source ID should be 1 or above. I’m happy to take a quick look at your .csv file to determine if the issue is there or with the plugin.
You can email it to [email protected] and I will also reply with a copy of the premium edition which has more features. The extra features are normally required by more advanced campaigns.
Thanks

In reply to: [Channel Solution for Twitch] Fatal Error upon Plugin ActivationHi folks,
xaices I’m sorry you were unable to use it.
The plugin is actually being built from scratch because interest has been good and I’m not happy with the engineering of the plugin. That work started a week ago and is on a whole new level of quality.
The current version can be used though and I will update to fix this issue. But if you have a very keen interest in this plugin please get involved in the projects Trello and Discord. Eventually, it will be on Slack and GitHub. Push it forward just being showing up and reminding us all that you want this plugin to be great.
@jrf thank you for your response. Funny thing is I marked the tgm class to be updated in the new plugin but not because I knew about this bug. It was because I modified the class quickly and it was those actions that rendered the current version of the plugin a prototype.
I was really just testing the water because I have no idea how big my audience is. It’s all about a lazy though and I’m going to change that.
