In reply to: [Channel Solution for Twitch] Get heavy error, didnt workThank you for your time.
sesamtv will surely update their review they seem very nice. I tested the plugin on a fresh WP installation and screen recorded while doing it. I could not find any problems. There was no error in the PHP log. So I’m at a loss right now without more information.
Here is the installation tutorial I published today and as you can see sesamtv your 1 star rating is clearly featured. Great!

In reply to: [Channel Solution for Twitch] Get heavy error, didnt workIt appears that this site encourages problems to be reported in a plugins support forum and not in the Reviews category. So I’ll ask a moderator to move this post and I hope we can talk soon sesamtv because if you need a solution. I will work hard to make it happen.

In reply to: [Channel Solution for Twitch] Get heavy error, didnt workHi
I am sorry your experience was a crash and burn. Could you possibly explain the error or was it just a blank screen?
Strictly speaking, his is a bug report. I appreciate feedback to help me test what is a very new plugin but I need the reviews to be reviews, please.
There isn’t any good way to uninstall if a plugin causes such a problem other than FTP but it can result in data being left in your blogs database. I assume you installed on a test site and this isn’t an issue right now.
I’ll run tests today and I might even make a video of the plugin in use while I’m at it.

In reply to: [WordPress Importer] WordPress Importer – Hand This Over To Another DeveloperI can only suggest Google. I wouldn’t recommend a specific plugin because those guys are making hundreds per day from pro importers and some of them use unethical methods to improve their sales which I’ve been victim of multiple times. There is no way I’m pasting their landing page URL.
I only go as far as mentioning their solutions exist for the sake of you exploring other options yourself.
Sorry I couldn’t be of more help.

In reply to: [Disqus Comment System] Silence instead of supportI’m interested in using Discuss on WebTechGlobal very soon and this review stands out but I doubt there is anything to worry about.
This hack issue sounds more like the Disquss website not being updated with the deletion then re-upading the blog with said comment as if that comment had never existed. That is just a guess but it is where I would investigate before any kind of hack.
If you have further information gained during troubleshooting and investigation I would like to hear about it.

In reply to: [WordPress Importer] WordPress Importer – Hand This Over To Another Developeraristosoft the WP exporter itself works fine as far as I know. The exported file does not need to be imported with “WordPress Importer” as other plugins can import it instead. Once you have expoted just go to install a new plugin from your admin and search “XML importer”.

In reply to: [WordPress Importer] Making a better version. The meta could be separate also.
Another approach is a temporary database table. An issue these importers have is importing the data, creating posts, creating meta and creating media all at once.
Each posts requires many queries to the database.
Plugins like CSV 2 POST split it up a little. Data is imported to a temporary database table first then the data is used from there. I plan to create an XML importer that does the same thing but I need some backing, funds are low.

Nice work.
If possible please post this on GitHub too, these plugins are on there also.

In reply to: [WordPress Importer] Large imports break up…I recommend checking this plugins FAQ which covers this…
https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wordpress-importer/faq/
It all comes down to your own servers permitted memory, which might be running out during your import.
Failing that look at WebTechGlobal’s solutions as we have a growing range of plugins, always with a free edition.

In reply to: [WordPress Importer] Hooks for adding contentHi
There are no hooks. This plugin is not designed for auto-blogging like CSV 2 POST is. This plugin is intended to import previous exports from WordPress itself.
CSV 2 POST allows 3rd party software, even none WordPress. To import data to a special database table. CSV 2 POST can then make use of that data. That might be the sort of thing you need.
Failing that WebTechGlobal does have other solutions with a lot of updates coming. I would be interested in hearing about your needs in regards to hooks and what plugins would integrate.
Regards

In reply to: [CSV 2 POST] Having Problems with Version 8?Hello again.
Did these messages happen on installation?
My first consideration is that it might be due to no data existing to feed into the tables. Just a guess though. I’ve never come a cross this type of notice.

In reply to: [CSV 2 POST] Having Problems with Version 8?Will get right on it.
This is to do with using WP_List_Table class to create tables of data. I’ve added it to a lot pages. Strange though because I have error reporting on and it’s strict but don’t get this.
