In reply to: [Country Specific Menu Items] Plugin is not workingHi – What theme are you using? Sometimes themes that alter the default admin menus page will break it. Also, have you tried deactivating other plugins? You might also try undating to WordPress 4.8. I just tested the plugin and it works normally on 4.8.

In reply to: [Country Specific Menu Items] Plugin not working anymore.Hi Marc,
Sorry for the confusion… CSMI is the plugin, short for Country Specific Menu Items. Please try uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin to make sure you have the current version that was recently released. If it still doesn’t work, please email me the zip file of your theme so I can troubleshoot. [email protected]
Thanks,

In reply to: [Country Specific Menu Items] Plugin not working anymore.Mark,
I just updated my test site to WP 4.8 and the plugin is functioning as designed. What theme are you on? Also please make sure you have the latest version of the CSMI. I made an important update about a month ago.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Country Specific Menu Items] Not WorkingOmar,
I found out why it’s not working. Click “ignore” on the admin notice at the top of the page and you will be able to use the plugin until I’m able to fix it.

In reply to: [Country Specific Menu Items] Not WorkingOk, I’ll look into it. I just did a new WP install, installed CSMI, and saw that I couldn’t post a new post, like you said. However, once I added a menu and menu item, then I could post.

I just released a new version (1.0.4)
Please update and let me know if it’s still not working.

In reply to: [Country Specific Menu Items] Not WorkingHi Omar,
You’re right – after doing a fresh install of WP, I see now that WP changed the structure of the menus in and it completely breaks the plugin. Unfortunately I’m not going to have time to rewrite it any time soon. ??

In reply to: [Country Specific Menu Items] Not WorkingHi Omar – I’m not able to replicate the problem. I tested with 4.7.4 on several default WP themes and it seems to be working fine. Please try it with the Twenty Sixteen theme and all other plugins disabled.

In reply to: [Country Specific Menu Items] not Working in custom themesHi,
Are you using any menu plugins besides CSMI? Interoperability has been a common issue.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Country Specific Menu Items] Geolite database files download does not workJust to clarify, these files aren’t required, but they may improve the speed and accuracy of the location lookup. When the files are missing, CSMI falls back on APIs to get the location data.

In reply to: [Country Specific Menu Items] Geolite database files download does not workSure. Just create a subfolder in your uploads folder called geoip and then download and put the following two files in it.
https://sourceforge.net/projects/geoipupdate/files/GeoIPv4.dat/download
https://sourceforge.net/projects/geoipupdate/files/GeoIPv6.dat/download
