The file size is 15.5 MB, and the limit was 10 MB. It looks like you either have to change the upload limit, split the file up using a third party app, or use shell access. I’m having a hard time understanding how to do any of the 3..

There was about 300 lines of infected code in the .sql file that I had to delete.

I’ve purged the infected code, but I can’t import the db back on phpMyAdmin.

I get this error code: No data was received to import. Either no file name was submitted, or the file size exceeded the maximum size permitted by your PHP configuration. See FAQ 1.16.

Yup, Global Settings is the spot. I can change all of the passwords from here.

Now to delete all the files from the server and purge the infected code, then put it back up. I’m a little nervous about it though..

Apparently there were 2 db’s with the name of my dad’s website, and the second does have tables (obviously).

When I click on manage db’s through the control panel it brings me to the list of domains, then I click on admin and it takes me to phpMyAdmin.

How would I get to Cpanel?

Okay, sorry it took so long, but I just got the account info from Media Temple. I have logged into phpMyAdmin to change the db password and tried exporting first, but it says there are no tables in the database.. I have already created a backup with the infected files.

Should I just go head and change the db password without exporting?

    Damn..

I called them a few days ago, but they wouldn’t give me any information because my name wasn’t on the account. They told me they would email my father with the account info, but they still haven’t done that yet.

It would probably be best to call them after I get that info to help resolve the issue, right?

    Hey Guys,

Sorry it’s taken so long to get back, but I’ve been waiting to hear back from Media Temple.. There’s a bigger issue now though. When I try to pull up the website I get this error, both from the site and the back end admin for wordpress:
    Forbidden
You don’t have permission to access /wp-admin on this server.
Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
    Apache/2.0.54 Server at post911foundation.org Port 80

I have no clue what that could be from.. Any ideas?

    Thanks for your help

Ok, I got the info from him. I can log into his account through Network Solutions, but I’m not sure on how to change the db password from there.

That’s his security company. That means he must have the login info tucked away somewhere.. I’ll have to bug him to look for it again.

    Thanks for your help guys

Okay, looks like his hosting is through Media Temple. If I can’t get ahold of his previous designer, who most likely has this site under his account, is it possible to be able to get the login information?

    His website is – post911foundation.org

His previous designer/coder is MIA and my dad doesn’t know any of the hosting information. I looked up the db host in the wp-config.php file and it says:
    $_ENV{DATABASE_SERVER}

Is there a way I can find out who is hosting his site?

    Thanks

    (@ryanneil)

Yeah, the pages for add/edit/view pages and posts. It does show the source code when I view source.

I’ll try the upgrade and see if that works.

*it says that I don’t need the update

    Thanks for your help

    That didn’t work either..
