Really am signing off now – thanks again!
You know one other thing that would be good…. if you could prompt whether to re-assign the Author (to e.g. Admin) on the new site… so on import… like the regular WP import tool does…
Great! thanks again.
Signing out here…Apparently so – that fixed it.
I have a beautifully functioning migrated website – your plugin is brilliant!
And your tech support is awesome! Thanks Yani.
and good luck Alpha!Hi Yani,
OK, that did work… at least, it has said that the upload was successful. However, the pages are not all there… the homepage looks good, but none of the other pages are showing up.Do I just need to re-save the permalinks?
OK, will try it… I’ll keep you posted…
Safari mostly, but also FireFox
For one site, it’s this:
Apache version 2.2.25
PHP version 5.3.27
MySQL version 5.5.35-cll
Architecture x86_64
Operating system linuxBut I had the same issue for another site:
Apache version 2.2.26
PHP version 5.4.24
MySQL version 5.5.36-log
Architecture x86_64
Operating system linuxDoes this help?
Great! Thanks…. I am not using XAMP (as far as I know), but still….
I figured as much. This normally works just fine for other downloads and downloaded plugins that you want to upload….
Hope the issue can be solved…
Fingers crossed……….Hi Yani and Alpha,
I am having the same problem… also on a MacBook Pro with OS X 10.8.5 and a simple WordPress 3.8.1 site.
When you download a zipped file on a Mac, it automatically extracts it in the Downloads folder, so I’m guessing that Alpha was re-compressing it back into a zip file in order to import it… and I had done the same. Otherwise you just have a folder with the various other folders and files in….(i.e. plugins, themes, media, package.json and database.sql)
Really hoping there is a solution for this – this is the second time I’ve tried to use your plugin and so far, to no success, though it seems to work great for others!
