thanks for your help. i hadn’t noticed the ‘duplicate’ feature. this will definitely speed up things.

trying to insert a synced pattern into a post from the block editor is where i’m having the most problems…it basically doesn’t work at all. inserting unsynced patterns into a post from block editor is ‘hit or miss’. either it will load only the ‘default patterns’ when i type in text after the backslash, or all patterns will load immediately and will be inserted immediately. the synced patterns will also be listed, but only the unsynced patterns can be smoothly inserted.

the ‘patterns editor’ loads quickly and provides search results for both synced/unsynced patterns with no delay. both synced/unsynced patterns open to the ‘edit screen’ without any problems.

besides synced pattterns not inserting into posts, the next most severe problem is that both synced/unsynced patterns take a really long time to save changes. the delay usually occurs due to the “save button” being grayed out, rather than clicking the ;save button’ and hanging. i’ll make a change to the pattern, and it can take minutes before the ‘save button’ becomes ‘clickable’. i can only tell that changes have not been saved when i get a ‘chrome warning’ about unsaved changes when trying to close the wordpress pattern editor tab.

Thanks! that did it. didn’t realize that the theme had been discontinued. just updated to MH Magazine.

is there a way to adjust the font size for individual post titles with the theme? i’d like to reduce the font size of some post titles so that they fit on a single line.

in cases where i want to use 2 lines for the post title, i had been inserting a </br> with the code editor into the [title block] where i wanted to break to occur. many of my posts are set to private before i decide on a final layout. therefore they are all prefaced by “PRIVATE: ___” in the post title, which doesn’t allow me to preview how the post formatting will look when i make it public. the workaround i found was to use the wordpress plug-in “page title splitter”, switching over to “classic editor” to insert the line break, and then going back to block editor to save changes. is there a way to get rid of that “PRIVATE ___” prefix in private post titles without having to use that plug-in?

thanx…i suspected that was the case as many others have been dissatisfied with bluehost. i’m planning on switching to a new host because even the premium version of bluehost seems to be problematic for many users.

apologize for the caps….i’ve just gotten into the habit of formatting my blog posts in all caps with a hyphen at beginning/end of title. going forward, i’ll use all lowercase. does not capitalizing the first letter of the title make it less readable? for me, bracketing the elements in the title makes it more readable

would this formatting be acceptable?

great thanks. that works for me. i had somehow internalized assumption that HTML couldn’t be used in titles.

do you know if there’s a way to get rid of the “protected” text label before the title?

not sure if theres a ‘protected’ prefix on your en, but it just looks sloppy even when i’m the only one seeing it. is there some alternative way to indicate ‘PROTECTED’ status with a symbol or something other then just coming at beginning of your post title?

hi stef, thanks for info/advice. site is running normally now….bluehost has a built in cache plugin ‘endurance cache’ which i had started uisng. should i replace that with supercache? would having multiple cache plugins affect site?

also i forgot to mention that when i deleted the ‘admin’ jetpack-linked username and replaced with ‘jogabot’, i had selected ‘re-assign all tabs to the other wp/jetpack account ‘jogabot’. in the process of re-assgning, the website froze. when i logged back in, i saw that all the ‘post author’ had been re-assigned (as the admin account showed ‘o’.

howoever, i forgot to check how many total posts i had before the ‘re-assigning. i suspect that the number is less. is it possible that the re-assignment overwhelmed the system and erased some without transferring first? thanks!
