  • What setting did you have wrong? i.e. how did you solve the issue?

Closing this. I’ve got it working on a new install of 3.9 but I still have some issues. Will start a new thread.

It would make a lot of sense to provide an automatic upgrade to versions less than the current. i.e. to 3.2 or 3.3 (or 3.2.1 or 3.3.1 etc.)

    Why?

Because there’s ALWAYS a lag between plugin support for the latest version of WP. And by the time your plugins all have support, WP has a new version! It’s a never ending story.

But if I could automatically upgrade to a *slightly* less than current version, then I could regularly upgrade and get the benefit of the new features, security etc. and this cycle of plug-in compatibility lag would be broken.

Right now, I’m stuck on 3.1.2 unless I go through a manual upgrade process, which I’m not confident in doing. i.e. the risk of messing things up by doing it manually is the problem.

I seriously think Automatic should consider it. Even 3.3.x would be a great help if it could be done automatically.

    Hi

Yes, I’ve contacted them through their contact form. Sent several message actually. I’ve received a “We’ll get back to you shortly” email many hours ago and nothing else since.

I find the lack of response unacceptable and that’s why I posted here. Hopefully so someone would notice. VaultPress doesn’t have any kind of public forum like this and I really need help as it’s been over 24 hours since I’ve tried to restore and my latest attempt — started at 11:00 ET last night is still sitting at 0%!!!!!

Does anyone other than me actually use Vaultpress. Am I the only one with problems? I doubt it, but I seem to have no other recourse, given the lack of response from the Vaultpress team.

I’m quite UNIMPRESSED by this whole experience. And while $15 per month isn’t a huge amount of money, I have to question what I’m paying for if when I need it, it doesn’t actually work!!!!

Also, can you confirm that there is a problem with WP stats that started on or around Thursday of last week?

    Hi Thanks for the reponse.

I’m not using Jetpack so I’m not sure how this pertains to the problem? Can you clarify?

So has WP addressed this issue at all? I haven’t seen any explicit communication on it, and the stats are still incorrect.

Having a forum is great, but if there is no response from WP, what can we do?

My stats are resetting at 6:00PM EST as of Thursday this past week.

The time was set for Toronto. I changed it to UTC-5, but that didn’t fix the problem and they again reset at 6:00PM EST today.

The blog is registering the correct UTC and local time so I don’t know what is the problem. I’m on WP 3.01.

Also, the graphs and the stats are out of synch. i.e. the stats have reset for the day, but the graph above has not. Very ODD!

I also have Clicky stats running on the blog and they seem to be reading the time fine and are not resetting incorrectly

Has WP identified the issue and indicated what the problem is?

I’m experiencing this problem as well right this moment. — February 5, 2011 @ 6:06 PST.

I’ve just created a new form, tried to test it out and am not getting any emails from the form. I have had people tell me they’ve submitted info on my form, which I didn’t receive. So, it’s not just delayed emails, but also, lost emails! I use GoDaddy, which otherwise, seems good.

Feature enhancement 1 — would it be possible to create a configuration in the plugin to use a different email server to route the email? i.e. one that I know is reliable.

Feature enhancement 2 — If #1 is not possible, have the plugin take the submitted form info, and then send it to the blog as a comment. The comment can come as a user that I set up as moderated so that info will not be seen by the public.

The objective for either of these enhancements is a way to eliminate the risk from an unreliable email server — i.e. like Godaddy.

Just thought I’d close the look on this. It somehow resolved itself shortly after I posted this question. Go figure. ??
