What date do you mean, the DateTimeOriginal or DateTimeOriginal?
There is even a ModifyDate in EXIF data.

*Would it be an option to choose which date you prefer displaying?

I’m sorry if I overstepped a line here, but I do am thinking out-loud here.
There are so many option in EXIF that it’s hard to say what to use or not. ??

I would be so nice to be able to put a
?%year% <yourname> as watermark and just forget about it
Without a need to change it every year.

When I edit a copied gallery
the upload setting the ‘Activate in gallery upload form:’ is always ticked..
unless it is not a copy..

Quick check..
it does not do that on NEW Galleries..

Why? I have not a clue..
this is weird, but I’ve tested it several times..
with “…-COPY” galleries the result is the same.. every time..

with newly created Galleries it doesn’t reset the tick..

even when I remove the “- COPY”…

I can’t explain why..
I really can’t.. ??

just from testing the copy with likes and comments thingy..(so happy that works ??)
when I edit the gallery and deselect the checkbox
“Activate in gallery upload form:” and save..
the page reloads and then the checkbox is ticked..

So it looks like it is ticked on default..

so if you edit another part of the config and saved..
you have the gallery upload form activated, even if you didn’t had that previously..

I will check on a new gallery (no copy or stuff, just new ‘out of the box’ so to speak.

this is wonderful..
had some troubles to remember how I converted them in the first place..
(For some reason I can’t find that “how to’ anymore)
But.. it works like a charm.. ????

I will clear up the doubles in my Media library..
(not to worry I do have a backup ?? if things do go wrong)
and make the final conversion.

Oh, WOW.. you’ve been busy to help me..
thank you so much!
I’ve just returned home again, long story, but I’updated the plugin
and Will check right away if it works..
Then I will delete the doubles from my media Gallery and do the final conversion..

I’ll get my test server back as well, so I can continue testing
without disrupting my live website ??

I just updated to the latest version, so I’ll check again..

but the behaviour was, on copied galleries, that when you edited a gallery
‘Activate in gallery upload form’ was automatically ticked.
so when you would save a gallery without checking this tick, your saved gallery had the Activate in gallery upload form, activated..

I will get my test site back online and I will test this if this still occurs and if this is also the behaviour when I make a new gallery, from scratch..

So, I’ll put it through the test..
I will delete all images from my image-library to the shure there are no doubles
and do a totally new copy of the galleries just to see if it works.

Thank you for your elaborate answer.
I will have a check to see if I can get the images in the Media Library back to order..
(ie: remove the images from the Media Library and re-copy the galleries so I’m 100% sure I have no doubles, without the possibility that I break the gallery image if I remove too much doubles.)

Votes I can handle probably, just sorry I lose comments this way..

on the other had I could ‘keep’ the old Galleries and continue with the new, maybe something comes in the future, like a feature to export/import comments to/from CSY or something like that.. just thinking out-loud here ??

I’ve found another odd thing but I will make a new support-request for that
If I’m 100% sure I’m not the one who is goofing up things..
