In reply to: [Discontinued Product Stock Status for WooCommerce] Wrong number of products@mistercode We have reviewed your query again and found a possible reason why the category counts might be affected. To change the catalog visibility of a product to display in ‘Shop and search results,’ follow these steps:
In your WordPress dashboard, go to Products > All Products, edit the product, locate the Catalog visibility option in the Publish section, click Edit, select Shop and search results, and click Update to save the changes.

In reply to: [Discontinued Product Stock Status for WooCommerce] Wrong number of products@mistercode Apologies for a late response. Unfortunately, this is not something that can be fixed. The problem with WooCommerce is that it maintains number of products with their stock status’ in 2 different places in database. One is internal product table and the other is
The product count varies because it comes from product lookup table where we aren’t changing the stock status to ‘Discontinued’ from ‘Out-of-stock’. Ideally this table isn’t to be modified as it is used by WooCommerce for different internal purposes. (like searching products in the backend). We also don’t have any hooks to update the product count either. So, the only workaround is that you stop displaying the product count.@mistercode What are your WooCommerce and WordPress versions? What theme are you using?
Have you customized template of product page using something like Elementor?Hi slservice33,
Could you please send us the WooCommerce status report? You can find it by navigating to WooCommerce > Status > Get System Report.
Thanks!
@eulani What version of WordPress and WooCommerce are you using? What theme are you using?
Can you please share screenshots of the error in question?@jonathansulo @allstarsft @rbuelund @jtsalvo @eulani @ralekarts @cooperator_jr
Thanks for bringing this to our notice. We have fixed the issue with the latest update. We apologize for the inconvenience caused. Please update the plugin to the latest version 1.4.0.@calebweeks @jamesc91 @fromb Thank you for your patience and understanding. We have finally released a feature in our PRO version which comes with a seperate shortcode that works well with custom product pages that are built using Elementor Builder or any other builder/ theme.
To see how it works, you can check it here.
Please let me know if you have any questions.@calebweeks We know it has been like a year and we really apologize for the delay in our response. Actually the label of that setting was a bit confusing. It is an advanced setting that allows you to automatically discontinue product once the stock reaches zero. We have fixed this label in recent version of the plugin. In your video, we checked that the product quantity was ‘1’ and as a result it didn’t show the discontinued message because it only makes a product discontinued once the quanitty hits zero.
If you wanted to directly discontinued product immediately regardless of the quantity, you can do that directly do that using the setting in this screenshot.
If you are still facing issues, please free to reach out.@jamesc91 @fromb Apologies for the late response. For the Elementor, we couldn’t do that because Elementor didn’t provide us any action / filter hook that we could use to make it compatible.
As a result, we are working on creating a custom shortcode that you can put directly in your elementor product page which will show the discontinued message. You can expect the shortcode update to be released by the end of the next week. Please feel free to reachout if you face any issues.

Hi @kmp2 ,
Thank you for contacting us. Could you let us know which version of the “Disable All WordPress Updates” plugin you’re using? If you’re not already on the latest version, please consider updating to it.
