Hi Mark, thank you! I tried it with Microsoft Authenticator and works just fine. Still not sure why Google Authenticator quit working, but oh well, what matters is that I’ve got 2FA again. Thanks!!
Still stuck. I’ve resynced times and now browser and server time agree, as well as my phone where the authenticator app resides. But I’m still getting the above mentioned error message and can’t re-enable 2FA. Help?

OK, I think I may have a server time browser time problem, they are off by 2 seconds. Seems minor, but I get how this is causing the issue. Now, how do I correct this? Here’s a snippet of a screenshot showing the mismatch.

In reply to: Parent and Child themes@contentiskey , thank you for your reply. I responded with a few additional questions. Can you advise?
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Parent and Child themesThank you, Lisa. OK, I’m starting to get it. Child themes simply don’t update like Parent themes do. But do you ever manually update your Child theme? I suppose the old argument could be made, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”, so why update a theme that is working?
I am now certain that I got into this mess because there was an Astra update that broke several things on our Shop page. To correct one of the issues (padding added to the paragraph block), Brainstorm support advised that I needed to install the Child theme and add a filter to functions.php. Done, and resolved.
Referencing your last paragraph above… we have had this website for 3+ years and just now set up the Child theme. I have moved the custom CSS from the Parent to the Child and will now only make modifications in the Child. I do have a question about content, though. Is that modified in the Child or should I still modify basic content (eg, text) in the Parent?

In reply to: Restore not working after switching hosting serviceThank you CedarPoint! I will give this a shot. I seem to remember doing this years ago, had just forgotten some of the details.

In reply to: Restore not working after switching hosting serviceI am wondering if this is my problem… After doing the new WordPress install with my new hosting service, I have only restored the database. I have not, however, uploaded any of my files from my prior service. They are all backed up on my local machine, I’m just not sure what to upload?
