In reply to: Upgraded to 1.5.2, now getting errors for files not involved! No, but that didn’t seem to be a prerequisite to upgrading based on conversations I had with other people who also had non-theme custom skins. The index.php file is looking for a footer file with a numeric value; footer1, footer2, footer3, etc., with the numeric value matching a corresponding skin. The error is saying footer.php doesn’t exist which is correct, because I don’t have a plain footer.php file.
Like I said, the code is EXACTLY the same. It worked before, and now it doesn’t.
Thanks for the feedback.

In reply to: Archives of months and cathegories doesn’t show all postsI appreciate your response…now that I know that I haven’t done anything wrong with WP that I needed to fix, I’ll give your plug-in a try.
You’ll have to excuse my hesitation, I’ve had a lot of experience with people just out promoting their plug-ins when a simple fix inside WP would have done the same thing.
Thanks again!

In reply to: Archives of months and cathegories doesn’t show all postsI read in another support post that the archives and categories shouldn’t behave any differently in 1.5 than they did in 1.2 meaning, all of the posts should display regardless of what my “display X posts/days” setting is.
I’d like to get some confirmation/denial on this before I just start installing plugins willy-nilly. If the categories and archives should be working the same under 1.5 that they did in 1.2, I’d want to find out what I need to do to make them work correctly. If it’s a bug with WordPress, then that’s another story.

In reply to: Archives of months and cathegories doesn’t show all postsI just upgraded to WP 1.5 yesterday and am experiencing the same thing. If I click on an archive month, I only see the most recent four days’ worth of posts.
I have custom blog skins and am not using WP themes. Back in the “old world,” I was able to view all of the posts in a category or in a calendar month by clicking on the category or calendar month link.
Are you saying this is no longer possible in 1.5?

In reply to: Borders around images?I took the image off the page yesterday evening, which is why no one is seeing any problems anymore. And Alphaoide…it WAS at the bottom of style.css. The very bottom. The very bottom. I’m not an idiot. Not sure why you couldn’t see it, but I just took it off two minutes ago so it was there…at the bottom. Regardless, problem solved.

In reply to: Borders around images?Alphaoide…I did put your code at the end of style.css and the border still showed up.
Podz…tried yours as well, and the border still displays.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Borders around images?Did that…didn’t work! Oh no! ??

In reply to: Weather HackOkay…some questions. How do I get rid of the bullet points and have the text the same font, size, etc. as it is in my sidebar?

In reply to: Borders around photosYeah, I actually went a different route until I could play with the CSS a bit more. The problem I was having with everyone’s suggestions was that no matter what color border I picked, it always showed up as a black border…annoying to say the least.
Thx for everyone’s help!Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Borders around photosActually, that would be good…and add some visual fun to the photos. I’ll have to dig around my CSS in the morning. Thanks so much! If anyone can still shed some light on the basic border thing though, just so I know for future reference, please advise away. Thx!

In reply to: comments & approvalsSo, am I just stuck with this?

In reply to: comments & approvalsCorrection…the moderation requests are being sent to the same address, but I’m still baffled as to why I’m getting all of the comment requests.
I did a test comment a couple minutes ago that said simply, “Test comment” and it came straight to me for approval. No links, no objectionable anything.Forum: Themes and Templates
