In reply to: Archives ascending? Not really, as this displays only the current month of the current year. So no matter which month you select you always get december.

In reply to: Archives ascending?I hadn’t tried that one yet, thanks!
So I put ‘<?php query_posts(‘order=ASC’); ?>’ in my archive.php above the loop, but when I click on an older month now, it starts by displaying the first entry ever made, not the first entry of the month. I haven’t found out yet how to change this, so if somebody could help me I’d be very glad. (Although this might be the wrong thread as it isn’t a WP 2.0 problem.)Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Monthly archives ascending/descendingHi Rudi,
thanks for answering! But I’m afraid it doesn’t help, changing classes.php also changes the display on the entry page, and on the entry page I want the articles descending, the newest on top.
Your first solution doesn’t work either, I only get an error message and no page is found that way.
??
So I keep hoping WP 2.0 will offer a solution for this.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Monthly archives ascending/descendingno way?

In reply to: Monthly archives ascending/descendingHas anyone found a solution to this meanwhile? I’m using 1.5 and would like to display my monthly archives in an ascending way.
<?php wp_get_archives('type=monthly&order=ASC'); ?>
doesn’t help.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Two menus?Great, thanks!
I kept searching for ‘two menus’, it didn’t occur to me to look for ‘three columns’ ??Forum: Fixing WordPress

In reply to: Weather Hackpigpen, thanks for answering!
Meanwhile I have only got one error message left, but can’t get rid of that one. You can see it on my site, it says ‘open_basedir restriction in effect. File is in wrong directory in /home/www/web86/html/blog/wp-content/plugins/weather.php on line 70’. How do I count the lines in a php-file? I know this sounds completely stupid, but I have no idea whether to count just the lines with a ‘$’ at the beginning or also the empty lines or also the commenting part or…? If I knew where line 70 was, I might find a solution to my problem.
My $cache_path should be correct – at least I think so.
I read about this ‘open_basdir restriction’ in another thread, maybe it’s a problem of my host. But before I contact him I’d like to know what line 70 says.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: Weather HackI posted in the How-To-Forum before and got the link to this forum from Jeremiah. After reading this thread I still don’t get the weather plugin running. I am still quite new to WordPress and know as much as nothing about php – is it possible anyway to have this plugin? I am trying it on my testblog https://www.rhabarbara.info and keep getting these error messages. I tried to create a folder ‘weather_cache’ in my plugins folder and in that I created a file named ‘metar_cache_LSZB.txt’, but when I do so, the weather icon is not displayed any more.
So if anyone could tell me where I am going wrong and what I have to change I would be very glad.Forum: Fixing WordPress
