In reply to: how to enlarge the text size of the post editorGreat! many thanks Jan Dembowski..
But you say it will not work for non-English editor versions?

In reply to: Upgrade to 3.1 – wp_cache_get() issuethose who use wp-hive cannot do without it.
The problem can easily be solved by going back to wordpress 3.05
You need to download it, then upload it by ftp, then extract its content.
Then move your:- wp-config and
- htaccess files.
- plugins
- themes
- uploads
- wp-hive
from the current location to the “wordpress” new folder.
You also need to move 4 folders in wp-content folder:then rename the extracted folder to the name of your site, or public_html if its in your root.
I’ve found out the problem. It was an anti-spam plugin that added a cookie and edited my .htaccess file to add 2 lines of code. I’ve disabled and removed that plugin about a month ago, but completely forgot about the lines in my htaccess file. Now I did remove those lines and things are fine now.
Many thanks for your help. I hope this helps those with similar situations.

In reply to: can’t access my private pageYes, in private posts the post is displayed when you’re logged in as admin. But in private pages they don’t display, and I even failed to access it by typing its url.

In reply to: how to change the “Read More..” textThanks very much for your valuable help. I finally found the ‘read more..’ text in a common.php file.
Now, instead of editing the original theme’s common.php file, can I use the child theme I created to do so and leave the original untouched, so that future theme upgrades do not delete my edits?
The only file in my child theme folder currently is style.css
and I just type what I need to change only. Can the same be done with php files like common.php? and if so, do I use the link methed to link to the original theme’s files like we do in css files? And if so, can I type only the parts that I need to change in the child common.php file? or must I copy the whole code of the original file?

In reply to: can’t access my private pageThanks. I know I can view my private page in the admin area of course. My question is how to view it from outside, while logged in as admin, without having to go inside the admin area. Otherwise, what difference does it make if its a private page or draft. I want to be able to add commenets to my private page, to use it as a soft of private diary.
I thought private pages would be listed in the front page only for the admind to see. Its not so?
