It turns out that my colleague had blocked JavaScript on his computer, that was probably the issue all along—thought I should add it here for folks who may be looking for solutions later.
Thanks, Nithin; that will solve the issue with being able to read more of one’s input. Much appreciated!
Thanks, Patrick; I am copying your message to our vice-chairperson who had the issue. I did try it on the municipal PC (I am on a Mac) and it worked fine, so it may be that he has an older browser that is not supported.
Another member of our group asked if the comment field can show more than a single line; I have not checked your documentation yet, but if you have a quick tip to point me in the right direction, I’d appreciate it.
I’ll let you know what I hear from Vito.
Thanks again! Thanks; I’ll be updating my sites this week. Much appreciated!
Oops, a couple of those links go to Page Not Found, but most work and I appreciate being able to see those.

In reply to: [Chaplin] WordPress 6.4.2Thanks for the reply; as I had just updated plug-ins, I figured it was likely the theme, but good to know that I might be wrong about that! I’ll go into safe mode and readd plug-ins individually; do you know of any specific common conflicts? (If nothing comes to mind, go ahead and mark as resolved; thanks!)

In reply to: [Events Manager - Calendar, Bookings, Tickets, and more!] dark backgroundhoping someone can help with this! Do we need to write a lot of CSS to change the color of the default Events Manager text?
Thanks; this should help with my site, too—just wondering about using an old page, as I have the event-submission form below the calendar on the existing Events page. I’d prefer to avoid recreating that page.
No, it means that you need to edit the booking form to match the new date. It can’t know what date the new event is until you add it. Once you edit that area, the bookings will open. (found this the hard way; same question my first time)
Hmm, looks like I am in the wrong area, but I did get a reply from Matomo that indicates it might be solved in the next iteration of their plug-in. Sorry for delay between replies—amateur volunteer here, juggling too much (as are most all of us!). Actually, I have both Blocks and Authors installed. I am O.K. with holding off on analytics for now.

oops, forgot to mark as resolved (or technically, I guess, resolved-to-be)
Thanks for the explanation! much appreciated
Hi, sorry to have been AWOL! I had asked Matomo, they suggested checking iwth you. PublishPress Blocks is on the list as incompatible (https://matomo.org/faq/wordpress/which-plugins-is-matomo-for-wordpress-known-to-be-not-compatible-with/), which includes this: “PublishPress Blocks: Unspported PHP-DI version”.
