In reply to: [Neve] Copyright Section Removed After Updating ThemeHaving just read through the reviews for this theme, I now see that you did in fact remove this section for existing users and place it behind a paywall.
Removing content from existing websites is absolutely terrible.
How do I know that you won’t continue to remove sections from my websites with further updates? I really don’t know if I can trust this business moving forward. Perhaps it’s time to move away from using your services.
I await the cookie-cutter response below, provided to everyone else expressing their dismay with this awful decision of yours.
I apologize for the frustration this change must have caused you. I do understand that this is not a popular decision but we analyzed the product sustainability and growth and in order to further support the innovation and development we appeal to our users to further support our work by either recommending our product if they like or financially via paying for the PRO version. Moreover please consider that Neve is a customers funded project and without Premium product sales we can’t provide any updates whatsoever to the free product.
With that in mind we have decided that if you want to update to the newer version, you’ll either have to get the premium version to get the functionality or accept that some features would be missing. Alternatively, you’re free to continue to use the 3.2.x version for as long as you want.
If you think that Neve does not provide enough value to use it, I do understand and with the support of those that will do, we hope to increase the value over time thru new features to make it worth it for you too.
Thanks for your response @mihaiimagely
Yes I understand.
I’ve checked the settings in NextGen Gallery -> Other Options -> Thumbnail Options and somehow the ‘Set fix dimension?’ option had been set to ‘Yes’. That option was previously set to ‘No’, I’m not sure how it shifted across to ‘Yes’.
I’ve set the option to ‘No’, but now I need to rebuild our thumbnails so they are displaying at their correct size again.
I usually achieve this with the ‘AJAX Thumbnail Rebuild plugin’, but it’s not recognizing the image sizes that NextGen creates. What is your recommended method for rebuilding thumbnails?
Thanks for your response.
When you say “Let’s try re-creating the thumbnails images from Manage Galleries”, do you mean that I am required to perform the following steps?
- Go to the individual gallery settings in ‘Manage Galleries’.
- Select all the images included in the gallery
- In the ‘Bulk Actions’ dropdown select ‘Create New Thumbnails’
- Click the ‘Apply’ button
- In the dialog that then appears specify our thumbnail size
- Click the blue ‘ok’ button
If so, I tried this on our staging website and it had no effect.
Also, I’m a little bit confused by the dialog that appears in step 5 above. If the thumbnail size is being inherited from the setting we’ve specified in settings > Media > Thumbnail size, why are we being asked for a thumbnail size again here?

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Hand Picked Products Block Does Not Show Out Of Stock BadgeSorry, I didn’t realize that it’s the theme adding the ‘out of stock’ badge to sold out products.
I’ve now contacted the theme developer about this – https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/add-sold-badge-to-out-of-stock-products-woocommerce-hand-picked-products-block/
Thanks.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Hand Picked Products Block Does Not Show Out Of Stock BadgeThanks for your response, unfortunately it hasn’t addressed my enquiry.
I understand that the hand picked products block will still show products that are out of stock. That’s not the problem.
The problem is that it won’t show the out of stock badge of products that are out of stock.
Is it possible to implement that functionality into the next update of the plugin?
Thanks.
Thanks so much for your detailed response @nosilver4u
The images on the server are definitely the originals. Could a security plugin be blocking this functionality?
I’ll run through your instructions now.
Thanks Ben. That’s much appreciated.
I’ve just run this process, but it has not deleted the original images from the server.
Judging by the visual interface, the process appeared to run without any problems. The blue bar cycled through all the images and presented a success message when complete.
When checking the server afterwards however all the original images are still in place.
Is there any minimum resource requirements required in order for this process to run? We have some very large images on the server (20mbs, 40mbs, etc).
Could the server be blocking the process for any reason?
Thanks.
Thanks Karla. I’ll contact you there.
This is not a caching issue. It occurs on many websites I use the plugin on, regardless of whether a caching plugin is installed or not.
The issue does occur across browsers, yes.
What is your preferred private method to provide you with the access you’ve requested?
Thankyou!
Thanks for the update @bvytis.
In the interests of ensuring the best usability of the website for our clients we avoid adding fonts via any means additional to those already provided in the Neve theme options.
We’re very much looking forward to the addition of the ‘Bodoni Moda’ Google font to the selectable list of Google fonts in the theme options.
Hi @danamv
Thanks for the link.
The documentation you’ve linked to appears outline how to add a non Google font to the website. ‘Bodoni Moda’ is a Google font, it’s just not included in the list of Google fonts provided in the theme.
Is there any chance it could be added to the list of Google fonts?
I’d like to avoid hard coding a font into the theme as it detracts from the usability of the theme for my clients.
@wuzhumeng No.
I can easily hard code the Google font into the website using functions.php & css, but for the sake of the usability of the theme it would make sense for the font to available via the theme options.
