In reply to: [Members - Membership & User Role Editor Plugin] Members and bbPressboom, after a bit more testing this is working great alongside s2members, URE & members, so we finally have private groups by user role in bbpress ??
thanks again, looking forward to seeing this developed further, filtering topics etc as above

In reply to: [Members - Membership & User Role Editor Plugin] Members and bbPressactual plugin on wp directory would be a great idea, this functionality is a BIG missing piece of the bbpress puzzle, restricting forum access by groups is a standard feature of phpbb etc
but, i’m having some probs getting this to work properly on a test site i’ve been hacking away at, i am using members, URE & s2Members as well, prob time for yet another caps reset, need more time for testing on my end
from what i understand, all of these plugins are fairly common on elaborate bbpress sites w multiple roles, and a working plugin for restricting forum>topic>reply access by wordpress/bbpress user roles currently does not exist but would be very popular i think ??
ideally, a stand alone plugin which does not require but will work alongside the other plugins i mentioned above, just a metabox in admin area on edit forum page listing roles and read/write yes/no radio buttons should do it ?
prob a good idea to start to topic on bbpress forums too, get feedback form bbpress devs and more users etc
thanks again ??

In reply to: [bbPress String Swap] This plugin is slowing down my site a lot.i am running wp 3.5.1, bbpress 2.2.4, and bbPress String Swap 1.3.0 and had recently been noticing some major slowness on my site lately, forums page was taking like 7 seconds to load, using the p3 profiler plugin i was able to see that bbpress was taking about 2.6 seconds, and bbpss was slowest after that, after disabling bbpss bbp was down to .8 sec load and things seem much faster in general on my site
thanks for string swap btw, great plugin, is there a chance it could also deal with the “oh bother” text ?

In reply to: [The Bootstrap] Tabs?most all of the bootstrap examples in the main bootstrap docs work fine with this theme, the code in your example page will work as intended if you either paste it into a post or page (use wp text editor) or place it in a theme template file

In reply to: photo Panoramas layout and Ideas?i use wordpress to display 360° flash panoramas on my site here –
i use flash panorama player, but you might have an easier time of it using stand alone swf panos generated with Pano2VR, FPP is a bit more complicated, pano2vr converts qtvr movs to swf very easily
to embed a stand alone swf (or qtvr) pano, just upload via the add media button in the posting window, also upload a preview jpg, insert the jpg & link it to the pano swf, you may also use some sort of lightbox plugin here, look for one that supports swf & mov, not just images
if you are using wordpress 2.9 (and your theme is upgraded for 2.9 thumbnails, this jpg image can be used for thumbnails in archive pages, recent post lists, etc
qtvr .mov panoramas are essentially a dead format btw, not supported by apple in the latest snow leopard 10.6 quicktime X, flash is the way to go
for the type of scrolling mini pic thing you describe, look at the smooth slider plugin
have fun ??
