Hi Cais. Thank you for your quick response.

I feel a bit foolish now, after troubleshooting it is because I was using an outdated version of Firefox or one of the add-ons I was using, because it was working on Firefox on other computers and Chrome on my own PC. I got a new version of Firefox and got rid of all my add-ons and now everything seems to be in working order.

This is specifically the part I am having trouble with:

Return to the Privileges screen and click the Check privileges icon on the user you’ve just created for WordPress. In the Database-specific privileges section, select the database you’ve just created for WordPress under the Add privileges to the following database dropdown. The page will refresh with privileges for that database. Click Check All to select all privileges, and click Go.

I didn’t have the correct code in the .haccess file. oops
