    Hi,

    @fabricecanel

As far as I understood, the plugin supports IndexNow and I think nothing else should be needed.

    https://auctollo.com/products/google-xml-sitemap-generator/help/

    @auctollo

I tried with different browsers and Wget, but I always get a 404. For example, right now, the url with the generated key should be:

    https://garabatodigital.com/aa1bec6d01284cf28e8716eaf1aeda45.txt

In the plugin settings, it only states this at the top:

"Resultado del último ping, comenzó en la fecha 7 septiembre 2024 6:42 AM."

I don't know if it should say anything else, cause it only states that the ping was started at the mentioned date/time (It was a previous date but I deactivated /activated it to try again a momento ago).

    Best regards.

Hi @jamesosborne, thanks again for your reply… now it’s solved…

Just to note, there is no outbound firewall installed… I don’t know if you were referring to something like that…

All the following was done in incognito mode with developer tools open with cache disabled:

Anyway, tried what you suggested and the dashboards finally worked correctly again. Tried activating everything and it kept working. Logged out and in and it didn’t work…

After going up and down in troubleshoot mode several times, enabling and disabling in different orders and quantities and login out and in on every change, finally found the culprit:

    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/query-monitor/

It always worked with Site Kit and weirdly, on the other two sites on the same server, it’s also installed and those Site Kit dashboards don’t show any error. If they ever show any error, I now know where I’ll start looking.

    Thanks for your help!

Hi @jamesosborne, thanks for your reply…

    1. Form sent with the requested info plus some other stuff regarding the 502/200 responses.

    2. Since Dec. 2023. I’ve already tried several times disconnecting and reconnecting (usually after every Site Kit plugin update), removed the plugin completely, even tried connecting with other account that has all the necessary permissions for that site and always with the same error in the desktop section… before Dec. 2023, everything showed correctly in the desktop and until now, the other sites on the same server have their Site Kit dashboards working correctly…

    3. No warning or nothing critical, just a WP consent API complaining about other plugins not being compliant, but I installed that last month because of the consent mode v2… nothing to do with the problem at hand.

    Best regards.

Sorry, just to add that even if the CDN is disabled in the plugin, the same warning keeps appearing…

OK, thanks again… it’s your plugin, I like it,donated to it and now it’s working like before but just to be clear, I would like to list the following comments:

The “create distribution” that doesn’t actually create one in this case and just populates the ssl resource is a bit misleading…

While already having a working certificate from Amazon and distribution and now having to create a new wildcard certificate just for this, validate it by adding a new DNS entry and of course, following the above instructions, seems to be a bit much for a plugin update, but hey, it’s an overhaul of it I guess…

And just to add, your last instructions solved the problem, but in my case (I don’t know if any other upgrading user will have this issue), I checked my distribution and had to change manually inside it the certificate I had with the newly created one… If I didn’t do that, the newly created certificate was not going to renew itself because it wasn’t in use….

    Best regards…

OK, your solution creates in AWS Certificate manager a new certificate for *.netfactotum.com. Did it and already verified by DNS, but I didn’t want that type of global certificate for any subdomain and that’s why I already had on the AWS CM a certificate for cdn.netfactotum.com and IN USE by my distribution and working well with the plugin.

Anyway, I did it… disable, reset, liste and added my distribution again… option for cdn.netfactotum.com still grayed out…

Then went into my distribution and changed the certificate in use from my cdn.netfactotum.com to the newly not wished for *.netfactotum.com

Again, disable, reset, list, added my newly modified distribution that has the new certificate and the option to activate cdn.netfactotum.com is still grayed out…

Done! and with the domain name included…

    Hi, I’m a bit lost here…

I just saw the plugin was disabled with the update. I enabled it and got the problem mentioned above, my custom cdn was grayed out…

I followed the instructions in the ssl manager but it says “No SSL certificate found for xyzwhatever.com”… my domain has its own certificate and it’s OK, but if I change the domain to cdn.xyzwhatever.com which has an Amazon certificate, it says “Domain name does not match the actual domain”…

@saveatrain likewise! I saw many plugins like that one but I’m trying to test other things, just for fun… not interested in great performance, SEO and all that kind of stuff…

    (@samarart27)

@saveatrain I read the info and also read some other stuff before trying to deliver the webp format for the compatible visitors… It was just out of curiosity for testing it, and in my case, all the webp images are smaller than there JPG files and I’m happy with the visual result… maybe I could optimize all the original JPG files but I don’t have time for that, pure lazyness

    Hi,

Just to update this thread… the webp express plugin got an update yesterday.

    0.16.0
    (released: 24 sep 2019)
-Added option to specify CDN urls in Alter HTML.

With this new setting, now the AWS CDN plugin keeps working correctly and I’m serving correctly the webp images.

    Best regards…

    Thanks!!!

Yes, I saw that later in the FAQ I linked… I’m going to write over there to see if the priority of when to process the images URL can be configurable because the options they offer, 1. Use content filtering hooks (the_content, the_excerpt, etc) and 2. The complete page (using output buffering), are not working for me… and I only get local webp image urls with the second option…

I’m trying with other option it has of serving varied responses but I’m always getting jpg links and no webp ones…
