In fact, I am using the Avada theme. I will update the theme and check what will happen. But did this update address both issues? The language switcher and the Hreflang?

On another note, my language selector (before the latest update) used to switch between translated pages.

The current status is that I can switch from En -> Fr (corresponding translated pages)
But when I try to change from FR -> EN, the language selector link take me to HOMEPAGE.

Did I miss anything? Is there a setting that I have accidently changed?

I have an issue where I can find the correct hreflang on my English version of the website but not the French version.

All pages are correctly translated and point to their corresponding pages.

So on my root homepage (the English version I find the below tags:

<link rel=”alternate” href=”https://www.mydomain.com/&#8221; hreflang=”en-CA” />
<link rel=”alternate” href=”https://www.mydomain.com/fr/&#8221; hreflang=”fr-CA”/>

On the French version, there is none.

Could you please advise on this issue?

I have done as you advised and I am still getting a 302 redirect from .com/ to /en/
Any advise regarding that? as well as the “2 Front Pages” issue mentioned above?

After doing that I have noticed that I have 2 “Front Page” pages. One in English and One in French. I didn’t have that before changing the settings. Is this normal to happen?

I have done this but it broke my entire site. There was a loop created for redirects since I already have other redirects on my htaccess file.

RewriteRule ^en/$ https://www.my-site.com/en/home/ [R=301,L]
RewriteRule ^fr/$ https://www.my-site.com/fr/acceuil/ [R=301,L]

Is there any other way I could fix this?
