Just change line 30 of index.php of this plugin to

if(isset($_GET[‘s’]) && $_GET[‘s’] != ”) {

and empty searches will no longer result in a fatal error.

thank you for the answer.
A downwards compatibility to the analytics.js tag would be a nice feature as we cannot switch to the new gtag.js right now because of German data privacy adjustments that need to take place.

After downgrading the plugin to v.1.2.2 everythings works again.

I will recheck our autoreturn settings in paypal.

The problem is that the missing ecommerce data is both from paypal and bank transfer payed orders so it cannot only be the autreturn.

Could it be possible that customers leave the order-received page so fast that no analytics code is fired?

After checking the other installed plugins, I found out that the plugin Autoptimize conflicted with WooDiscuz. Disabling “optimize JavaScript ressources” there solved the issue.

sure we use the Legenda theme (https://themeforest.net/item/legenda-responsive-multipurpose-wordpress-theme/5888906) and Shopkeeper theme (https://themeforest.net/item/shopkeeper-ecommerce-wp-theme-for-woocommerce/9553045) for our sites.
Regarding the search functionality we only use one other plugin: Search Meter (https://de.www.ads-software.com/plugins/search-meter/). Deactivating it didn’t solve the issue.
