In reply to: [Classic Editor] Unable to switch between Classic Editor and Block EditorWell … it just does not remember the last editor. It mostly gives “block editor” as last editor – even if the post was written in Classic Editor. But sometimes it tells me the the posting was written in Classic Editor, although I know (because I wrote it myself) that it was written in Block Editor. When Block Editor still was named Gutenberg and still was a Plugin and WordPress still was 4.9, they would remember exactly. Now they don’t remember and I still cannot switch the editor on the fly, the way I could when Block Editor still was Gutenberg… ??

In reply to: [Classic Editor] Unable to switch between Classic Editor and Block EditorThe selection on your screenshot is exactly our selection. Seems, the second part about allowing to switch is simply ignored.
How about downgrading the thing back to 0.5, which was fine with everybody?

In reply to: [Classic Editor] Unable to switch between Classic Editor and Block EditorYou mean you cannot select a default editor on your Profile page?
Of course I can. But if I do it, it’s everybody else’s default editor, too. (Must be about the third time, I write that down here…) And if my colleague is changing it, its changed for me, too. It simply does not work the way you tell.
Or that you’re missing the “Add New (Classic)” menu item?
Of course I am missing it. It was so easy choosing one’s editor on the fly, and everybody promised, that with WordPress 5.0 and the Classic Editor Plugin nothing would change. A lot has changed and without any apparent reason or benefit for simple users like us. Btw: With WordPress 4.X and Classic Editor 0.5 every single entry was correctly marked in the backend – telling us with which editor it was built with. Now there seems to be a random distribution of these markings. Not even that was kept. Why? Why did you change your plugin’s behaviour completely? Why?

In reply to: [Classic Editor] Unable to switch between Classic Editor and Block EditorNope. It does not work like this. If my colleague switches, I am switched, too. (We are both admins.) And in order to switch, you have to touch the plugin’s settings. With WordPress 4.X and Classic Editor 0.5 I could choose my editor almost on the fly, i.e. when starting to write. This is not anymore the case. It would be so much easier, why couldn’t you keep that?

In reply to: [Classic Editor] Classic Editor is blank in WordPress 5.0It is not even blank with me. It is not there at all. If I try to switch from block-editor to classic editor, all I get is the block-editor. I did clear cache and cookies. Same thing. I definitely need the classic editor.

In reply to: Update: Text editor is not really wysiwyg anymoreWouldn’t have done that, anyway. Thanks.
Since I don’t want to touch any style-sheet, there does not seem to be any thing than reporting the issue and waiting for it to get fixed?
