Thank you for your quick response. I just tried putting “framework” without the quotes as the text domain and it worked perfectly. WordPress is lucky to have a plugin like yours!

    Good day,

I am also experiencing an issue with using the Hide Backend feature of iThemes Security with the Theme My Login plugin. Resetting a user’s password does not work correctly. As your developer works on it, I figured I would provide some details of the issue I experience.

With both the TML plugin and the iThemes Security plugin (and the Hide Backend feature turned on), here are the steps to reproduce my issue:

    – When a user goes to login screen within the theme (thanks to the TML plugin), and clicks the link to reset their password (via the TML plugin), they are asked to enter their email address. Once they enter their email and click submit, they immediately get an automated email sent to them with a link to reset it. This works great.

    – However, when the user clicks the link in the email, they get sent do NOT get sent to the screen TML page to reset their password. They get sent to the standard WordPress password reset screen, ad they must go through the process of entering their email again to get an email sent to them with the password reset link.

    – Once they do, they get a second email with a link to reset the password. This time when they click the link in the email, they get sent to the standard WordPress page with the ability to reset the user’s password.are able to successfully reset their password.

    – The user should only need to fill out their email one time and get one password reset email and be able to go directly to the password reset page from the email link. With both the TML plugin and the iThemes Security plugin (with Hide Backend feature turned on) activated, the user must do this twice to reset the password.

And once I disable the Hide Backend feature, then everything works fine. So I can leave both the TML plugin and the iThemes Security plugin activated…but I just cannot have the Hide Backend feature turned on.

    Just figured I would share!

i look forward to the fix Gerroald.

    Best,
    Nate

Hello! Thank you for your reply! I do have SSL on my website, however, only on certain pages. I have SSL on my website’s login page and registration page. Everywhere else is just https://

I use the Better WP Security plugin for controlling my SSL. Once I configure my SSL certificate with the Better WP Security plugin, I then can choose what pages to apply SSL to. And for my site, I only have SSL on the login and registration pages. And since there is CSS I entered in the Simple Custom CSS on my login and registration page, I get the broken padlock.

Do you have any suggestions now that you know I have SSL only on some pages of my website?

    Many thanks!

    Thank you for your assistance.

I have 3 sites on my multisite install.

The featured images work fine on 2 of the sites. One of the sites it works on is the Twenty Eleven, which does not use TimThumb. The other site it works on DOES use TimThumb. I did not do any of the TimThumb fixes to get that theme to work…it just works out of the box with the Multisite install.

The site not working with Featured Images does NOT use TimThumb.

The URL I posted above did not include the domain name for privacy purposes from the client. However, I can share with you the error that is thrown when you navigate to the URL:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_template_directory_uri() in /home/content/54/9049554/html/wp-content/themes/dt-slash/functions/10_resize_images.php on line 170

How weird this one is. Are you aware of any other featured images issues on multisites that does not involve TimThumb? Does that error message mean anything to you?

Thank you again for your assistance.

    Best,
    Nate

Hello . Actually I just found out the theme is not using the TimThumb script, so it must be something else. I will close this topic and post a new one.

Oh ok. No worries. I purchased a theme that had TimThumb in it, and I lack the knowledge on switching TimThumb out with the built-in resize. so I guess I will try to get a refund on the theme.

Thank you for such a fast response Ms. Epstein. I’ve read so many articles about timthumb being blamed for this, and others saying it has nothing to do with timthumb, so it has been difficult to determine who is right. I should have come to the official WordPress forums first!

If I could ask you a follow up question, I wanted to say that I did take a look at the two chunks of code the article on binarymoon.co.uk mentions, but am confused if a) the code is final or just an example (in which I am expected to adjust the code to my site), and b) where each of those code chunks go (in what file). Would it be possible for you to assist with those questions?

    Many thanks ??

@esmi, thank you again for your response ??

You were right. It was the Login Lock plugin that caused the issue. And when I looked at the forum posts for that specific plugin, I see people are experiencing the issue. So I have removed the plugin and everything works great.

Thank you Esmi and thank you WordPress.

Oh, and I’m sure you know, but when I go to my “installed plugins” area of the admin area, all the plugins throw this error:

The plugin NAME_OF_PLUGIN has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist.

Should I move each plugin back to the new plugins folder I made via FTP (which just has The W3 Total Cache in) one at a time?

wow, esmi, you are amazing! I am back into my admin area!! Please pardon my over-excitement, but you have made my day! Would you be so kind in providing me a little direction on what to do now to get my plugins and the admin area working? Should I just activate one plugin at a time to see which one was causing the issue? Or is there another strategy you know of as the next steps for my situation?

    Thank you again ??

    Good morning,

Thank you, esmi, for such a fast response. For the “resetting the plugins folder” option, I did this, and when I tried to log into the admin area, I received this new error:

W3 Total Cache Error: some files appear to be missing or out of place. Please re-install plugin or remove /home/mywebsite/public_html/wp-content/advanced-cache.php.

Obviously I use the W3 Total Cache plugin.

I received the same error when adding “-old” to the theme’s folder I am using.
