you have to create a page using a template where you can define which post you want to show and other post can be shown on another page.
for implementing this you have to change settings in theme there is an option “customize” there you can find option for making default view to static front page.

yes you can. it will work for any page. I have created columns using css and than put some static content and some post’s in lower part.

which wordpress version you are using i suggest you can use plugin for creating anchor text its name is “term” very simple to use it

CREATIVITY this is not way for creating anchor links. new one is correct one.

If yes than just create a page with a new template where you don’t include footer.

I had faced similar problem when i was creating a child theme for customizing my website. in your case it may be due to plugins

How old is your website if it is just few months old than i will suggest keep writing for few more months with out long gap than eventually its ranking will improve.
other part is take part in religious forums where you can promote your website. I also have one religious website on Hinduism or Sanatan Dharma. I am working on same issue I have created a child theme which will show static page with some post form a selective category and upper part will show static content here is link for it you like it than i can share how i have implemented it. It is still in development i am adding more features to my home page.

this problem might be solved if try to change your theme files remove them and update theme to new files
