Excellent, thanks for that link, it has the field I was looking for.

Clicking the “Customize” button in Appearance > Themes seems to have been replaced with the new block editor (/wp-admin/site-editor.php) which I guess doesn’t have a way to set custom global css.

Directly modifying the theme’s style.css file also works as a fallback.

D’oh, I figured it out. Well, I figured out a workaround. I realized it was only happening with the images I’ve been messing with today. I was trying to upload 10 at once earlier and they timed out due to my slow net connection. Even uploading one at a time fails now, though the progress bar fills to completion. The images aren’t in the filesystem, and I deleted the dummy stubs from the media browser, but evidently the system remembers them.

I renamed the files, and pesto, uploado.

Aha, thank you for the screenshot. The link on the side oddly didn’t appear when I activated the app, but when I left the admin console and came back, there it was. Thank you.
